I came here for my first tattoo and was a little worried at first but as soon as I saw some of the artists work and got a chance to just sit around and bullshit with owner I was ready to go. Everyone there was super cool, open minded, and blew my mind with some amazing stories and knowledge. Came in for my first tattoo with my boyfriend and we were nothing but welcomed! Had wonderful conversations with the owner who is nothing but a man of great hospitality. Dan did my tattoo and he was AMAZING! Not only did he make us feel comfortable but he is hilarious and took my anxiety away before I even got my tattoo tracing on my arm. I've got inked here twice now, these are the best artists in Tulsa. First time there it took longer to prep me than tat me and I was getting script from elbow to wrist. No blowouts, no going back over. Dave might as well have been putting pen to paper. Second time, Dan did a palm sized tat on my upper forearm and wrist, knocked it out in solid black fast and perfect. These guys know their stuff and get it done. My girlfriend and I got tattoos by David today. They are both horrible. The lines are uneven and shaky. David is a cool guy and all, but he is a horrible tattoo artist. I intend to get mine covered up as soon as I get the chance. It’s that horrible. Do not go to this place for tattoos. Black sheep and brook side body piercing are the places to go. I honestly wish I could give lower than a one star rating because of how pissed off I am that my girlfriend spent $160 on 2 tattoos that look more than terrible. Read Less

This was my very first tattoo experience, so take my review with a grain of salt in that respect, but David did a great job and keeps up lively conversation the whole way. I brought in a loosely sketched out idea, and he was able to turn my chicken scratching into a very meaningful tattoo to honor a group of kids I coached. I felt really comfortable. They got me in, no bullshit. I was visiting Tulsa, from Houston, and called ahead a few days. I spoke with Jen, one of the owners. She was super nice and accommodating. I wanted to come in on a Tuesday, and she said they normally do by appointment only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and accommodated my schedule for an afternoon appointment. When I arrived, I did end up having to wait for some time for her to prepare and sketch up my design, but that is the only "negative" part of my experience. I had a custom piece, drawn by a friend. Jen was very good about getting it down as I wanted, asking me lots of questions, listening to my feedback and doing what I asked for. The actual work itself was relatively very quick; Jen is deft and professional at what she does. She stopped many times throughout to ask me questions about how I wanted things done. She gave me her suggestions but ultimately listened to what I wanted. They also own Scorpion Studio here in Houston! What a cool coincidence. She told me if I needed any touch up work, to just call her and let her know and she would let them know I was coming by. Very awesome and professional!All in all, I am super happy with my experience and my piece and would definitely recommend these guys. The shop itself is cute (it used to be a brothel, lols) and I liked how they had it set up/decorated. I have been here several times myself for tattoos but wanted to leave a review after the exceptional experience my in laws had!  my father in law was an absolute tattoo newbie and was nervous about getting his first tattoo.  My mother in law kept talking about tattoo shows on tv and referencing what she thought getting a tattoo should be like.  No one looked down on her or laughed at her expense.  Everyone was very understanding and happy with and for her. they are both in their 60s but were treated as valued customers.  They both got small tattoos but the artist and owners (Richard and Jennifer Stell) were happy to accommodate them.  It is one thing for someone who regularly gets work done to feel comfortable, but for both of my in laws to leave raving about their experience is another.  They are very happy so I have no qualms highly recommending this establishment!! I feel bad giving this place a bad review because everybody seems to love it but... The younger guy that was suppose to do my tattoo was the biggest asshole I've ever met. He talked to me like I was incompetent. I wanted a simple tattoo, literally just some dots and lines, even though I couldn't find an exact picture; I was trying to talk to him and work with him. He wanted it to be his work, not mine though, every time I tried to talk to him he interrupted me and made all my ideas sound stupid. To me, a tattoo artist is someone that is suppose to help you and work with you to figure out what you want. Guess I was wrong. To make it worse, he started playing on his phone while I was talking to him. I do want to say, the older man with the eye patch was really nice and his work looked good! And that over all the tattoo store seemed awesome, just not a good experience for me. Read Less

I required a fairly complicated tattoo of the 50 state flowers as well Guam and Puerto Rico as a full sleeve. I was required to come in and put down a $100 deposit in order to have a design worked up to counteract flakiness in their customers, which I completely understood. The $100 deposit is applied towards my last session.We did need to reschedule once, but I didn't mind at all as Jen kept me in the loop, as well as sent me a rough draft of the design Joe was working up.Everyone at the shop was very professional and nice. Honestly, when I left Oklahoma 20 years ago tattoos weren't even legal. So it was very nice to find such a nice shop here in Tulsa. Between Texas and California I've been to some very nice and vety crappy tattoo shops.We completed the outline the first day and I'll be back in a couple of weeks to work on the color. I'm very impressed with Joe's line work and very excited for the color to be added. I was a walk-in one Sunday afternoon looking to cover-up a hideous tribal I got a few months back at some place on Brookside. Anyway, without expectations I consulted with one of the artists, Joe, about some ideas. I came back three days later to a badass lotus flower half-sleeve. Joe's attention to detail absolutely blew me away we got started immediately. After a few sittings I have this amazing half-sleeve completely covering that hideous past mistake. I joke with Joe and say he saved my arm because if I couldn't find an artist to cover up my last tattoo them I'd go through with amputation. Needless to say, I highly recommend Pair-O-Dice and Joe if you are looking for a great artist with any tears of experience. Had Jay give me a tattoo today. Called first just to see if they were busy. Gave him an idea of what I wanted. Went in about an hour later and he already had some sketches drawn up. I loved them. Made my selection and back to the chair I went. It was great. We chatted about a bit of everything which kept my mind off the worst parts of the tattooing process when it became intense. He tattoos tattooers. He is well respected in the industry. He has done about 20 hours worth of work on me and I have enjoyed every trip I have made from Dallas TX. Where do I start with Pair o Dice? Let me start by saying this: if you want a tattoo in Tulsa, this is the only place you should go. I've basically dedicated the rest of my non tattooed skin to this shop.Why you ask, what's different? They are people that love tattooing! I mean really love tattooing. The shop is run by Richard and Jen Stell and good ol Bubba Reaves. Both Richard and Bubba have learned from some of the best tattooers around. They have serious resumes. But don't take my word for it, just walk in and look at their work. This place is clean! It is (to my knowledge) the first and only shop to pass health inspections on the first walk through in Oklahoma. They have taken great care to keep it that way.The shop is also beautiful in terms of design. Original tattoo flash and painting decorate the walls. (Its probably the only place around with original Ed Hardy paintings)So, if you love tattooing and solid work from friendly folks this is your place. If you want terrible tattoos, go some where else. Richard Stell tattooed the front of my torso over the course of a year and I truly enjoyed every sitting. He is a top-notch artist and all around good guy to spend your time and money with.
