TERRIBLE customer service! We called and asked if we needed an appointment. Girl named "Moose" said "No, we are open until 10pm, just come in and we can get it done tonight". All I wanted was a 3 inch cross. Simple. I got there 20 min later. There were 5 people in the waiting room when we got there. AFTER filling out paperwork and sending them a picture of a simple cross, the girl said they cannot see us tonight. WHAT? I explained that we called...she said to make an appointment for Saturday. They were really rude when I first walked in, my small tattoo was originally $60 but when I went to the back for one she didn’t talk during the whole entire tattoo and watched the tv. I also asked for all lowercases in my tattoo just to find out they capitalized it after I told them multiple times. When the tattoo was over with she changed my price to $75!!! There was a couple there before me and there’s together was $150 it was bigger than mine so I got ripped off. She didn’t wrap my tattoo it started bleeding it dripping down my body. I got a full sleeve done on my left arm done by Jason and man, this guys is amazing!!! Neither me nor my usual tattoo artist are from Oklahoma so I was very hesitant to use a different artist. Jason, however, did not disappoint!! I have him the photos I wanted integrated into a sleeve and Jason sat down, hand drew each one, and combined them to make a badass sleeve!! Jason is now my go to for any tattoo!! I also went in to see about getting an industrial bar done on one of my ears. I have been told by many others that it would be impossible for me to get an industrial bar because of the way my ears are. But Perry managed to do it!! The customer service is really bad. I felt rushed especially by the front desk all throughout the process. The tattoo was good looking for the most part but some lines are alot more faded looking than others. Even after the touchup there are still areas that are very faded. I had a few small tattoos done. One being a single letter with a heart. All the lines are uneven. Some thick. Some thin. Some not even all the way complete. Heart is lopsided. And didn’t even get filled in completely. It looks like a practice tattoo given in a dark alley. Read Less

One of the best shops in Tulsa by far. Jason has tattooed two half sleeves on me, both sides of my chest and a large back piece. I have given him total freedom on almost all of it.  He is currently working on finishing an entire sleeve for me. Just give him my concept and let him get to work. He has yet to let me down. I went in recently on a Saturday night to get a nostril piercing (55$, which included the stud). I felt like they were doing all they could to get me in and out as quickly as possible. The piercer did not mark where she would put the piercing and ask for my opinion (which I assumed she would do, didn't realize I would have to ask for this) and did not give any warning that she was about to put the needle through - I was in the room for all of 30 seconds. Thankfully I was happy with the placement but this could have been a huge issue, and it seems like a bad idea in general to not get confirmation of the placement. Then afterwards they give you some sea salt and written instructions on after care which I appreciated, but I wish the piercer herself had been more receptive to answering questions. I asked for some clarification and she curtly said "it's on the instructions". It would have been better if the peircer had summarized the instructions and asked if you had any questions instead of just pushing you out the door. It was not like there were a bunch of people waiting, either. Overall it wasn't an awful experience or anything but the lack of decent customer service means I will skip the place the next time I am looking for a piercing. Read Less

I got my nostril pierced at the studio and could not be more pleased. Excellent aftercare instructions and kit were included with the cost of the piercing and stud. The front house staff helped me understand the various healing times associated with different types of jewelry. The piercer was so kind, detail oriented, and fun to boot. (I'm kicking myself for forgetting her name right now...) When I started to get a bump next to my piercing after a vicious cold one month into healing, I dropped in on a busy Saturday hoping for some advice on how to handle it. They quickly assessed, recommended continuing (or I should say re-committing myself to) sea salt soaks, and sent me home with a second packet of the right salt free of charge so I would be sure to use the right kind. I love Brookside Tattoo. When I decided to get more work done I went to most of the shops around Tulsa to look at portfolios. Jason by far is one of the best here in Tulsa. He's a great artist. I went with my friend to get her cartilage pierced and my nose and they were telling me a price that was ridiculous compared to other places that are a flat rate of 20$. So then my friend agreed to have them do it after they said they wouldn't do her ear of choice and charge her 20$ more for getting a stud instead of a hoop. They then proceed to clean the room up (which was good except for the fact that they had no one in the chair) which took about 20 mins. Once the lady finally finished and said she was ready for my friend she wouldn't let ANYONE go in the back to hold her hand (which as a girl it's important to have moral support). I came down to Tulsa for the weekend to see my family and thought it would be a great time for me and my father to get a certain small tattoo together that we've been talking about for quite a long time, nothing super complicated, just some roman numerals...  I have been tattooed around the country by some of the foremost tattoo artists and studios, I have had extensive work done all over my body and my skin speaks for itself..We ask if there is time to get this done and the shop assistant says that they could do it that same day at 7, cool. She then asks us specifically what we want, my father was going to do VII (7) and I was going to XIV (14); she comes back from her computer and literally typed out the numerals in times new roman on MS Word; I asked her if we could have the tattoo artist stylize it or actually put some art into it and she says "that's what roman numerals are," no thanks, I'd rather die before times new roman or Helvetica goes on my arm. And also, don't patronize me, I know what roman numerals are....I then asked if the tattoo "artist" could stylize it in their own style, their own take on it. She replied that they don't do that, WTF?! From High voltage tattoo to Rock of Ages tattoo, I have NEVER experienced an artist not putting their style into a tattoo; I'm not into flash art folks....  I then asked if I could call my friend and have him draw them up super quick and send it over, she said that they couldn't do that either..  WTF again! We walked out.Maybe I just had a bad experience, but this shop was far from "nice" as all the reviews describe.. We'll have one done proper when my father comes out to see me as this was a joke to me today...  I'm sorry, I wanted to get down with you guys but your assistant needs to learn about art and tattoo culture, and judging by what she had done on her body and her attitude, she is the last person I'd have advising customers about tattoos.... I went to Brookside after a friend recommended it and I was very pleased. The place is clean and laid back and the employees are friendly. I had a name tattooed across my wrist. In December I went into Brookside for a vertical labret. I was able to walk in and get it done no problem.Jonathan is the owner and one of the piercers, he did an amazing job. He was super  professional, super attentive and even very patient when I was unsure about placement. The vibe of the shop is professional laid back. You can tell they treat all their customers well- whether you're a first timer or a regular. The shop is immaculately clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm so glad that I have found a shop that will do well to my standards!!! Whilst visiting Tulsa, and too much alone time- decided to pop-in and get a certain tattoo I've been wanting to add to collection (a portrait of Oprah)Jesse is the man. Brookside is the best shop in Tulsa, bar none.  They are extremely professional, and will answer any and all concerns of their customers.  They are the only shop that, when I called around looking to get an anti-eyebrow, actually asked me if I knew about the complications AND knew that they would need to use surgical tubing NOT metal to do the piercing.Also, when my nose ring popped out and was out overnight, Jonathan told me I could come in and he would put it back in if he could, free of charge.  He was able to do it, and I was pretty impressed as I'd been trying to do it for about two hours.Lastly, everyone I know who has had healthy, good piercing experiences has gone here.  I highly recommend everything about it.  =) Read Less
