I've had my share of experiences with other artists and Sam and Painted Lady by far surpass all of the others. She has done several pieces on my left arm, my chest piece, and the majority of the work on my (work in progress) sleeve. She is always humble, relaxed, and down to earth. She is real about what will work and what won't and will not simply stamp out a bad tattoo in order to take your money. She doesn't rush you and she takes her time. The atmosphere of the shop embodies her personality, as well, and welcomes you in to be relaxed as if you're at a good friend's place. Samantha is very unprofessional! I had an appointment, she cancelled on me, rescheduled me the next day. Went to find her door locked so I knocked and knocked for almost an hour but she supposedly said thefy didn't hear me. Called and texted her but apparently she couldn't answer since she was doing another tattoo. She should have been expecting me...but she forgot about me. She finally realized that I was there and opened the door for her to say you should have knocked, I told her I was and have been for about an hour. I felt she didn't believe me or didn't care. Samantha did my quarter sleeve last night, and I'm so in love with it! She does art that just gets to stick around on your skin for forever. She took the idea I had and made it into a truly gorgeous piece of art. I appreciated that she took the time to discuss colors with me and worked with me to integrate my preferences and what she knew (from her 14 years of experience) would look best.
