i have a couple of tattoos here that aren't bad but sadly they are not my favorite. i have 3 total from here, and the 3rd is the last i got from here. it's terrible. super dark and honestly the biggest regret i've had. it's on my forearm and it's such a pain to constantly try to hide it. please do your research before going here or anywhere else. i paid way too much money for what i got. the line work was good but once he filled it in... it was extremely heavy handed. looking back i feel like he probably took advantage of me being younger and dumb at the time. at this point i would rather black out most of my arm than have to look at this. Jimmy did my tattoo back in November messed up a word. He said  he fix it when I went back in December he had left for Philadelphia the man in there said he talk to the owner find out what they could do to make things right. Mind you i was in there to get my daughter and my nose pierced so obviously I wasn't mad at people in shop or owner mind you been going here for years for my tattoos and piercings. I’ve had every one of my 6 piercings done by Tober. All the staff is extremely professional, helpful, and extensively knowledgeable. Once you get home, they’re more than happy to continue to help/answer any questions or guide you with aftercare of piercings and tattoos. There is no other shop around that maintains the level of safety & cleanliness. When each our 3 daughters wanted to get their noses/belly buttons pierced at 16 we felt very comfortable allowing it due to the high standards of this shop. This will now be my go to for any body modification! They were exceptional. Tober pierced my belly button. I have had skin removal surgery and he told me to see him in 2 weeks to check it for migration. He educated me about what to look for. Well sure enough a week later, it was tight. This place was rubbish I had to get all the piercings I got done there redone bc when I was younger I got my triple helix done there and my tragus and my tragus were very shallow done and fell out after a month and my helix well they were not done with good quality jewelry and my ears tried to grow over them. When I went in to see about them I was told that my tragus looked fine even tho it clearly didn't and I ended up in emergency surgery once my ear finally had enough of my jewelry they used for my helix piercing. My rook peircing fell out while I was in the middle of moving. I've never been close to Mystical Illusions so this was my first time in. I was greeted and helped quickly. I maybe waited 5 minutes before I was pulled back and the peircer had me fixed up, even though the hole had shrunk some and had to repeirce it. He told me what he was doing every step of the way, made sure I was comfortable and everything looks great now. I even recognized him from working at Starbucks � My only regret was that I paid before I walked to the back and didn't have more cash to tip him with. When my friend and i first walked in we were greeted and they got someone for tattoos. I told the guy what I wanted and basically got told I was stupid and he refused to do it. At that rate we were just gonna walk away but there was another chick there who would do what I was wanting so we spoke with her. She was really nice and we were going to come up with an idea together. I set an appointment a paid my deposit. With-in the time waiting for my appointment I had an emergenc...y with one of my children. We called within plenty of time notice and let them know I wouldn't make it and would like a refund and will reschedule when I'm capable of doing so. At that time they proceed to tell us we can't get a refund that the deposit is nonrefundable. We were not told this, we did not sign a waiver about this, NOTHING. While on the phone with my husband you can hear them in the background discussing it as the girl says "well I didn't tell her" as the other person says " I don't care there is a sign by the register." So you think a sign is enough to just hold people's money? Y'all have a lot of things in there, between decorations and art work so you assume everyone will see one paper?? Anyways, lesson learned. My daughter went to Mystical Illusions (tattoo and body piercing) today to get her industrial piercing done. She researched the web for the best piercers in Oklahoma City. This is the best OKC has? They messed her ear up so bad. We had to have it removed by a professional due to massive swelling and bruising to her ear. They pierced 2 holes on the top of her ear and two holes on the bottom. She had large blood pockets around the botched job they done and was in so much pain she was crying and getting sick. The professional who removed it said it was the worst piercing he had EVER seen! I had a pretty good experience here overall. The man that gave me my piercings was really nice and made me feel comfortable even though I'm terrified of needles. My only complaint is that when I asked for a quote on a tattoo touch up (the tattoo does not look bad in any way, shape, or form;it's just a little faded) the man running the register acted as though it looked awful and was kind of rude about giving me a quote. I went to Mystical Illusions about a year ago for a naval piercing and not only did he catch the ring on extra skin but he used the needle to scrape it off. He pierced it crooked and too high up, he obviously didn't use the marks he made as a guide. And to top it all off it repeatedly got infected when I was following their aftercare instructions. I ended up taking it out a couple of months ago and gave up on it.As for tattoos I know too many people that have gotten crappy ones there that they had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. And they will use your exact tattoo on someone else.I do not recommend this place to anyone. And from now on the only place I go is Fantasy Tattoos in Gainesville, TX. They do a fantastic job on my piercings and tattoos and I have never heard a complaint about them. I went and had a tragus piercing by Dustin at Mystical Illusions. From the minute I walked in the door, they were professional and friendly. The place was clean and the service was fast. I have been ther 3 times before with my oldest daughter and she got three piercing from there. I took my youngest daughter in for her 17th birthday and they were so rude about everything. I told them I had left my coupon at home for the buy one get the other half off. They just told me I needed the coupon in order to get that special instead handing me another one or print one off of thier many computers that had in the shop. I had forgoten that you needed a birth certificate when you came in. Both my daugter and me had Legal ID's which the owner Jody Benner was the one waiting on us kept repeating how we need id's and the birth certificate.After I informed him we had id's just not the bc with us. He handle the whole situation wrong. And that was not a good welcome after standing int he's shop for 15 min before getting waited on. When I got upset about it not even making a scene just heading out the door to go get the bc I was told to have a nice week-end. In other words don't come back!!!
