This shop is beyond amazing! I've been tattooed by Joe for the past 12 years; very professional in all aspects and amazing at his work. He has always taken the time to make sure we're on the same page concerning his and my artistic desires. Unlike other artists who not only lack professionalism, but simply copy a previously drawn image from someone else. Hes done tattoos for many of my friends and I will always recommend people to see him. My friend and I were just pierced by Brittany, nasal piercings, who was wonderfully confident in her work. She was very sweet and personable. Her piercing room was clean, comfortable, and private. My friend is not good with pain and was a bit nervous but Brittany talked her through it, had candy to keep her blood sugar up and let her hold a stuffed bear! So sweet!!! I have also been to Missy for cosmetic tattooing, eyebrows and eyeliner. Missy is wonderfully professional, confident in her work, and extremely personable. She makes every customer she works with feel as though shes known them for years. As far as the shop goes, I've known Joe since before he opened Bareknuckle and he has ALWAYS been very hygienic. As someone with clinical OCD, I've always felt comfortable in his shop and beyond thrilled with the level of care he takes to ensure a safe and clean tattooing experience. I've never taken advantage of the barber side of the shop but it is also very cleanly and professionally kept stations. I love how the shop is decorated, beautifully artistic but still tasteful and not inappropriate. There is a restroom customers can use, front of the store seating, clothing options to purchase, artists albums of artwork to browse, and they do accept credit cards as well as cash! Read Less

I was just at Bareknuckle Saturday. I couldn't be any happier. I just wanted a small anchor on my finger. After pretty much being lied to by one shop and then being told " you females are so fucking complicated" by another, a friend told me about Bareknuckle. I wish I would have known sooner. Everyone there was so nice! They never once made me feel like the tattoo I wanted was too small or of little importance. They even apologized for how the other shops acted. I got a very nice tattoo today by Marc and holy crap I love it. I had some old scars I needed covered up and that was honestly my main focus. I came in with some pictures I found from online and we figured out what would work best. I felt bad because he didn't get much of a break between clients but it was very much appreciated. I get my hair cut and my beard trimmed by J ( Javon) He's very professional and accommodating.. for the kind of quality you get at this place, usually you have to schedule an appointment a month in advance, however that's not the case here. If i could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I walked in last month looking to get my eyebrows microbladed because I have never been happy with my natural brows. Missy threaded them instead and showed me what I had naturally and I was amazed. We decided not to microblade because of how well she actually took care of my natural eyebrows. I traveled from Pittsburgh to Youngstown to get my eyebrows microbladed with Missy.  I was really nervous, since it was my first time trying microblading, but she immediately made me feel at ease.  Her technique is meticulous and she listens to what you want.  I had virtually no eyebrows when I came in and she created a whole new look for me.  I would definitely recommend her! Joe has done 8 of my 12 tattoos (only because I went to him after I had the other ones prior to meeting him). He pays attention to detail and is a true artist. I've recommend him to my friends and all of them have been very happy with the results. So as far as questioning his ability and talent: he's the only one I will let put a tattoo gun to my skin.
