Bryan is the best around! I searched for a long time to find a tattoo artist that i thought could pull what i wanted out of my head and bring it to life, and that's exactly what Bryan does. I've been to Bryan's shop, Cruel Vice Custom Tattoo, twice to have work done and several times with others getting work. Every time I do I am impressed with how clean he keeps it. His work is second to none. This isnt a place where you go and pick a tattoo off the wall. Bryan is an artist and makes a drawling just for you based on the styles of art you like and the type of tattoo you want. He is very creative and versatile. This review is long overdue, because I meant to do it when I got my most recent tattoo here in April. Brian Harley is a great tattoo artist, and so far I've gotten 4 tattoos from him (one was a cover-up though). I continued to use this shop because he's a highly skilled artist, he's easy to work with, trustworthy (or else I wouldn't have returned!), and I find his pricing to be very fair. If I still lived in NE Ohio, I would use this shop exclusively. I think he can do piercings too if you're looking for that; I don't remember now. The shop is small, and it's clean and sanitary; nothing to worry about in that department. He's also a veteran tattoo artist, so you don't have to worry about walking away with a tattoo that's scarred, blurred, or etc. At this shop, it really is all about "Custom Tattoos." I myself have zero artistic ability, so it definitely helps me out that I can show up with a handful of reference images and a detailed idea and Brian will listen to that, consider what you're saying, and create a drawing. One important thing I guess is that because he's an artist, he understands things like shading and perspective that I don't, so he will tell you which aspects of your idea or drawing won't work well in a tattoo format, and for what artistic reasons. If I had to think of one gripe, it would be the location -- this shop is deep in the far east. It takes awhile to get there, but honestly now, it's not like you're going to be commuting to get a tattoo every weekday at 8 AM -- you can plan your time and make the trip. Read Less

Bryan did an amazing job on my tattoo, first off, I was really unclear on exactly what I wanted, plus it was a cover up which made it even more difficult. Bryan drew me exactly what I had described, even better than I had pictured it. His shop is extremely clean and comfortable. He has a great way of making you feel relaxed in a very unrelaxed situation. He actually had me laughing mid-tattoo which I thought was impossible. No screamy music. When not tattooing he is very social and a funny guy. As I said my tattoo is great. Shading and line work is spectacular. I have not problem showing it off. Had consultation and first visit with Bryan this last week , he is warm and friendly with a wonderfully dry sense of humor. I was completely disorganized in explaining my wants , but he was able to sort through material and draw a piece of artwork that exceeded all expectations ! It is truly stunning and everything I wanted and more. He communicates well , is clean , well organized and not to mention an excellent artist. His studio is well kept , intensely hygienic and very comfortable. ( including his table to lay upon) Upon getting the tattoo , it was least uncomfortable pain wise of any of my many tattoos, and the lines and work are clear , concise and the work of an experienced hand.
