I went here a good while back, so this review is older. Dewey worked on a large back piece for me, which he started doing at a really awesome price. I was told it'd be a great portfolio piece for him as it was an original design. At first everything was going well, and we flew threw sessions. Most of everything in the piece looked great, with just a few things that'd need touched up at some point. Over time he started taking more and more smoke breaks, talking to visitors or staff, and starting sessions late. I'd go in for an "hours" worth of work and leave with not even one small flower colored in. While it started out extremely reasonable and enjoyable, the need to go in frequently for short spurts, and leave tips each time started to add up. Eventually I gave up and stopped going, regardless of the fact that the back piece was never completed. Overall the "new" shop at the time was very nice, clean, decently private, and had some talented staff. Not sure if any of that has changed, but I wanted to leave honest feedback even though it's past experience. Hopefully this issue does not occur to anyone else, as it was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Read Less

I wanted some cover up work done. Since Brian had done a tattoo for me about a month prior, and I was happy with it, I wanted to go back to him to cover up an existing tattoo. When I went there, I took some drawings in that I had done to give him an idea of what I wanted. We were talking and I was trying to explain to him what I wanted done, but it seemed like he wasn't paying attention. All of a sudden, he got loud and slammed his hand down and said "You can't do that!" Then, he said "It's impossible to have an intelligent conversation with you!!" So, I got up and walked out. The worst part of this situation is that the owner of the tattoo shop didn't even acknowledge that anything was wrong. Evidently, he condones this type of behavior and he lets his male employees treat women this way. I would never recommend this place for anything! I just want to warn other women and make sure that they know what Brian is really like! Read Less

I am extremely disappointed in the professionalism. I had gone in for a tattoo and had scheduled the actual tattoo for a month later. As the time came for me to get the tattoo I was contacted to reschedule to a later time that day, then when that time neared I was contacted again to reschedule. I did not hear back as to when or even that the artist would contact me later to reschedule when they could review their schedule. I decided to go to the shop after several hours of waiting to find out what was going on. I was treated with a nasty attitude from a man who seemed to have felt like I was out of line by asking what is going on. He stated I need to just wait and that it can take up to a month for an artist to contact me to schedule a tattoo, not bothering to hear that I WAS scheduled for a tattoo and wanted to know when I can RESCHEDULE. After I left I was finally contacted by the artist I had worked with to reschedule for the following week. When that time came I was contacted again if I could reschedule to a later time that day. I agreed once more, third time to reschedule. When that third time came I was AGAIN contacted to reschedule to another day. At this point with the attempt to reschedule the 4th time I am done. I will take my business elsewhere to a shop that is professional and is considerate of their customers time. For those thinking of using this shop, there is a reason that they expect a deposit and that it is non refundable. It is free money when they chose to play schedule games with you and you decide the frustration is not worth it. It does not matter how talented you are as an artist if you have absolutely no respect for your customers it will cancel out any and all talent you have. Read Less

I went in to get my navel pierced after being referred to Eclectic by a friend. Steven was very professional in every aspect. He went through the piercing procedure, the piercing tools, aftercare and everything in between. He made the experience very comfortable and enjoyable and my piercing turned out great! The prices are a little more expensive than most to get pierced but it's 100% worth it if you care about cleanliness, professional work and putting high quality jewelry into your body. I would for sure refer people here as well as come back to get pierced in the future. Read Less

Kosta did the most amazing rendition of my father's tattoo on me last night! It is so beautiful! I am very grateful for him to make it look so amazing. The tattoo really meant something special to me as it is my father's tattoo also. It's is so beautiful. That's all I keep saying. I can't stop looking at it! Best place around to get a piercing, hands down! I highly recommend, I go here exclusively for all my piercings, the prices will be higher than some other shops, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of skill, knowledge, time that is given describing and discussing the placement/piercing process/healing time and care, etc. The jewelry is better, safer and of higher quality. After getting a terrible infection and finding out that the placement was all wrong in a previous piercing when I opted for a cheaper shop I learned my lesson! Thankfully they helped me with that piercing fiasco even though they didn't cause it and have been consistently amazing ever since! After a few friends suggested to come here for piercings, my friend and I had to try it out. Jess did both of our cartilage piercings. She was very thorough with explaining what was going to happen and all throughout when and what she was doing. She was also super clean. My daughter and I were recommended to come to your place for piercings. Steven Ralich took fantastic care of us. I wish I could rate him 10 stars. Very clean friendly environment. I got my cartlidge done and my daughter got her 4th piercings in both her ears. We were very nervous about the whole needle thing. By the time Steven explained step by step and how much safer it was then using the gun, we were much more relaxed. I highly recommend him. He really is a sweet, patient, caring man. Fantastic establishment! The whole place is extremely clean, and has wonderful, professional, and friendly staff. I've had piercings from their dedicated, expert piercer, and tattoo work by one of the artists. Very knowledgeable, exceptionally talented, and everyone has a great sense of humor! If I remember correctly, they are the only place that uses titanium for piercings instead of stainless. (Note: Titanium has been demonstrated to be superior to stainless steel for piercings.) Jewelry selection is of reasonable size and high quality. The ink used is from reputable, respected, and high grade brands. Prices are quite fair for services rendered. I always feel like a got exactly, or even a little more, than what I paid for. It's important to remember: if you want a skilled artist/piercer, a clean and hygienic environment, and top notch jewelry/ink, it will cost a bit more but will be well worth it. Read Less

I got my daith done tonight and He explained everything and described why not to use certain jewelry (even though its cute) and what to expect during healing...it wasn't a quick sale for him and I highly appreciate that! I went to eclectic after a few personal friends suggested them. I stopped in with an idea for a memorial tattoo for my nephew. I spoke to Kosta and threw some ideas around, we finally landed on an idea and he delivered! Such an amazing piece that captures exactly what I wanted to honor my nephew. I can't thank him enough. I get all of my ink done by Dewey Smith at Eclectic and I highly recommend him to anyone in the NEO area looking to get some work done. On top of being a fantastic artist, Dewey is polite, friendly, and accommodating. His prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of work he provides, and I wouldn't let my friends get work done by anyone but him or one of the other artists working with him at Eclectic. Can't say much about the quality of their tattoos because I was rudely greeted by the woman at the front desk. She was stuck up and snotty. I'd thought about the tattoo I wanted for a long time in advance and I had my heart set on it. I go in and show her the picture and she says "Welll, I think that with the size you want it it's just a bad idea." From there on she wals just talking down to me and talked me out of getting a tattoo there. So good job in scaring away $162 worth of business. I walked out and went to TATTOO FACTION in North Olmstead, very proffesional, very kind, and highly skilled artits there. I personally reccomend, Rob Hamilton. Read Less
