Went there to get my very first tattoo as a gift for my wife's 40th birthday. They were very professional, accommodating, and friendly. They had Joe do my tattoo. He did a phenomenal job. Also had a nice conversation about music and his and his girlfriends tattoos. And their different experiences. My wife and I had a great time. I love this place! I have been to several piercing shops and this is by far the absolute best. I got my septum done here about a month ago and let me just say they did a great job. It looks amazing but also it is healing even better. They gave me a little "goodie bag" with instructions on how to clean it properly and even more information on my piercing. Body anthology is the only place id go for piercings! They are hands down the most professional, clean, and well educated body piercers around. Their jewelry is gorgeous as well and they can do special orders if they don't have exactly what you're looking for on hand! Nate is especially incredible and i wouldn't go to anyone else for work.  He's so intelligent and makes the whole process extremely enjoyable. I recently got tattooed by Crystal as well and the line work is absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and the entire session was very pleasant. I haven't been tattooed by joe yet but am planning on it. Got my lip pierced, snake bites, and my nose pierced. It's a bit more expensive than I thought it would be but well worth it. Everyone was friendly and professional, quality jewelry and equipment, everything was done as sterile as possible. Chrissy was my piercer and she was absolutely amazing. I've been coming here off and on for almost 10 years, and every single experience has been great. I've had work done by multiple pierces, all were professional, clean, friendly, and polite. To this day, I still get nervous about needles, and they do a wonderful job of putting me at ease. I've brought a number of friends here over the years, and they've all had great experiences too. I've had dermals that lasted almost 2 years (only eventually rejected due to weight gain that caused the piercings to later rub against clothing), and almost every ear piercing you can think of. They were able to successfully work with me to eventually re-do a conch piercing that had many years previously caused a cracked cartilage (done by a different piercing shop). They'll also tell you if a piercing will not work for your anatomy. A year ago I went in on a busy Friday night and they patiently explained that my specific anatomy would not allow for the piercing that I wanted. This is the shop I recommend to all my friends, and I'd definitively recommend it to anyone else in the Cleveland area. Read Less

As someone who has had many piercings over the past 10 years (all professionally done), this place was the cleanest & most professional shop I have been to. I got my daith pierced here over a year ago & it healed perfectly. I wish I could remember the name of the person who did my piercing but he was beyond awesome! He talked me & my friend through every step of the shop's piercing procedure. I've never seen an industrial type sterilization machine in a tattoo/piercing shop so as someone who is big on cleanliness this was a huge plus to see all the instruments being prepared for my piercing. The entire staff was very friendly. My friend wanted to get a dermal but another employee explained the drawbacks to them & potential rejection of the piercing... that's another thing I appreciated, they aren't there to just shove a needle in your body & ask for your money without explaining potential side effects. My friend ended up getting her forward helix pierced. First come, first serve policy so relax & don't complain - let them do their jobs & sit on your phone while you wait. (more than) Reasonably priced for the service which you receive. Staff who listen & work with you. I always recommend this place to friends looking to get pierced, especially if it's their first. I've had many piercings over the years from other shops but I've never had such a wonderful experience or great customer service. Tyson did my daith piercing, he's awesome! I went in for a walk in tattoo of a butterfly , very simple, and it doesn't even look good. The lines are bad and the color sucks and on top of it I was charged 70$ for a tattoo that took 20 minutes!!! The guys name was joe I believe , something w a j, and he was bald. Don't go there if your looking for a nice tattoo, although their piercing area looked very professional, but they were overcharging big time. I paid 15$ for my tongue piercing and they wanted 60! I don't know if Keith still works here or not but about 2 years ago my boyfriend and I got tattoos on our forearms of just some Roman numerals. We were in there waiting forever even after he had our outlines drawn up. He even took a mom and her two daughters that came in AFTER us before us, telling us it would be super quick because they were each just getting ONE letter done on themselves. HOURS LATER (pretty close to closing time at this point) he takes us in and I swear he... was messed up on something. The way he was talking and acting and he was rushing through our tattoos, I even noticed him mess mine up and try to go over a line to try and fix it cuz he saw that I was watching. From that day one on til this day, healing did not do his work any justice. Our tattoos are a blotchy mess that you can hardly read and very noticeably darker on one side then it is the other (the part he messed up on). I will post pics.....Although I do give credit where credit is deserved and that is for their piercer Chris. Chris is a godsend for piercings. I had a horrible abscess in my ear from a poorly done industrial piercing that wasn't lined up correctly (wasn't originally done at this shop). Chris was amazing in helping me remove the jewelry from my ear because it hurt way too much for me to do on my own at the time, I also wasn't originally gonna go get my ear checked out either but Chris highly urged me too because of how bad my ear looked and thats how I found out about the abscess. I arrived a little after noon on a Saturday to have my nose pierced. I was nervous but Nate put me at ease the moment I walked in the door. The shop is brightly lit and welcoming, unlike some other tattoo shops I've been in. I did not feel at all intimidated. In a few minutes I met Chris and once again was made to feel very welcome. I picked out the tiny stud I wanted, a pink sparkly gem-like piece. I was hoping for a dark blue gem, but they didn't have any available. I was c...oncerned about my nose reacting to the material and was assured that they use medical grade metals, I'm pretty sure that's the term that was used. I filled out some paperwork, signed my John Hancock, and waited maybe 5 minutes before Chris was ready for me. We went into a small private room that looked a little like a doctor's examination room. It was also well lit and bright. I laid down on the table, turned my head toward Chris and he explained exactly what he was going to do and instructed me to breathe deeply. As I did so I felt something against my nose and I continued the deep breathing as instructed and Chris pushed the needle right through! I will not lie, it hurt! Quite a bit! I swore a couple times and my one eye teared up a little, but I just wiped it with the gauze Chris handed me earlier. He put in the stud and told me how it would stay in and such. I was given a small bag with my aftercare instructions, and some goodies including candy in case I was feeling lightheaded. I sat for a minute to make sure I wasn't feeling faint and then I was heading home! I was and am so pleased with the whole experience, honestly, I will be back at some point! I decided to get my ears pierced at Body Anthology because I had my ears pierced two previous times when I was a child and had to let them close up because of allergies so I had a lot of scar tissue in my ears. Chris was the clinician that pierced my ears and I have to say I could not have been happier! He took his time to make sure that my earrings would be even, and he did a great job! I have to say that literally within less than a week my ears feel like i've had them pierced forever! I've had no soreness & only a little swelling and my earrings looked great for my son's wedding this weekend!Thanks Chris & Body Anthology, I will definitely recommend you especially over mall piercing places! I have to give our piercer Chris a glowing review! Three small ladies (they have a coupon if 3+ people get pierced! Take a friend, your grandma, a rando on the street.... whatever works)  walked in wanted two nose piercings and an undecided ear piercing (she has tiny ears and didn't know what would fit). First of all, when you walk in and meet Chris if you don't automatically love him just walk out because there's something wrong with you.... Anyway. Back to business. Chris spent time pulling up pictures different things that he thought would work our friends tiny ear which made her decision a lot easier- thus pleasing all of us (no one likes the indecisive friend. I can say that only because it's usually me). He also just looks at you and is like oh, you're probably 5/16th of an inch and you're 4. Wut. Who can see a 1/16th inch difference? Chris can.They have tons of customization options with your jewelry which I think is super cool. I like obnoxiously  plain things but if you're into fun colors and stuff they literally make it in house. HOW. COOL..... Even though I'm boring and will never utilize that it's a great option to have especially because initial piercings are usually so ugly. Chris was the perfect amount of personable and professional. He switches from one mode to the other and when he goes into piercing mode and explains every step in detail- whether it's sterilization or the procedure. He asked us about 72625 times which side we wanted things on which I completely appreciated (who wants a needle shoved through the wrong side?). Additionally, he based our nose piercing placement off if we wanted to wear studs, hoops, or both which is cool because I didn't even know that was a thing. I have a dreaded nose bump and he said unique things like that are always his favorite to pierce and adorn which made me happy cause who likes being self conscious? Usually I feel like when you get piercings going from the needle to the jewelry is the worst part but Chris is so quick and meticulous that I couldn't even feel the jewelry swap. I wish I wanted more things pierced so I could give Chris more of my business but I guess I'll settle on recommending all my other yelpers. Read Less

The best of the best, and I am NO piercing novice.  I have been pierced at countless studios by countless piercers throughout the years, and, well, this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to post on Yelp.  My friend and I chose Body Anthology on a whim after reading many positive reviews on Facebook, Google, and Yelp.  I was leery about letting anyone but Jeremiah at Good Life in Akron pierce me (another great piercer/studio), but we were in the area, and one thing led to another. I originally wanted my daiths pierced, but Tyson did not recommend the piercing for my ears, stating there would be a high chance of rejection.  Points scored right away.  For all he knew, I had no other ideas in mind, and very well could have turned around and walked out of the shop.  I didn't; I knew there was a chance of what he ended up telling me, and had several ideas in mind, actually.  I settled on double tragus piercings. Tyson was amazing, explaining his way through the piercing process and what he did behind the scenes to sterilize our jewelry.  He was patient, efficient, and extremely sweet.  I explained I sometimes get dizzy from low blood pressure (and that pain triggered that), and he let me lay on the table for about five minutes after my piercings were complete.  The pain of the piercings literally felt like a pinch; he was extremely fast.  Normally my piercings (especially ear) would throb the rest of the day, but I felt literally no pain.  Even now (day 3).  Highly recommended.  My friend loves her industrial, too.  We'll be back. I came into Body Anthology today to pick out a new piece of jewelry for one of my ear piercings (a slightly unconventional triangular fossa piercing) and had a wonderful experience. The shop was clean, the selection of jewelry was good, and the abundant credentials of the employees were visibly displayed on the lobby wall.Nate took care of the jewelry swap and was professional and positive. I think that the service of swapping out jewelry for the customer is a hallmark of an excellent shop. It's very difficult to do it yourself without dropping something, especially when dealing with high quality, internally threaded jewelry, so it's nice when the service is included.I would have no hesitations sending someone here to get a piercing. It's clear that health and sanitation protocols are followed, and although my piercing is over 10 years old, Nate was very knowledgeable and helped me to select something that would be both comfortable to wear and flattering. If you're looking for a place to get a piercing done, there is no other place to go. The shop is clean, professional and I can not imagine anyone finding better. About a year ago, I was looking for a place to get my nipples pierced. When I found Body Anthogy, I knew I was set. Their website alone is enough to be convincing -- they take piercing seriously with certifications  and memberships to professional organizations. Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd prefer someone sticking a needle through my skin to have as much education on it as possible. From the moment I made the appointment, I knew I'd picked the right place. I did the piercing tandem (with two piercers at the same time) with Chris at the lead.  Chris is very passionate about piercing and you immediately feel at ease with his knowledge and experience. He also explains the entire process and makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way. My piercings have now healed perfectly and I've gone back to Chris for new jewelry questions, purchases and changing. He gives you every option when you have ridiculous piercing naive questions like "can I get something that is like pinkish rose gold colored??" and I've never felt like he was trying to push a sale or pressure me to purchase something. They make it clear they are there to change jewelry you purchase or even take a look about something you're concerned about at no charge and without giving you a hard time.I can not say enough good things.
