A friend and I went into broadway recently to get tattoos, Austin was there by himself and although he didn't really have time he found a way to squeeze us in. He is a very cool guy, had a good atmosphere and conversation while drawing up our pieces, did my friends and did a very good job. I was excited to get mine and already thinking of having him maybe do some more on me in the future...and then Clay came in. The very first interaction I had with him was him insulting the ...tattoo that I was getting, and that was the best part of my experience with Clay Cole. He proceeded to call my friend and I pagans (we were not getting pagan tattoos) because our pieces were related to a religion not his own, and then began to tell us we were going to hell and talk down on any religion other than Judaism, which he so smugly informed us that he believed in. After that it was 45 minutes of non stop word vomit of bigotry, discrimination, sexism, and racism. He was talking bad about other clients and other artists to us, and not just a few either. Like I mentioned before I really liked Austin as a person and artist and was very excited to get my tattoo, but I came very close to walking out just because I couldn't stand to hear such non stop negativity and close mindedness. We had made it very clear that we were not comfortable with him around and wanted him away from us, and yet he still decided to come in and sit right next to me as Austin was doing the tattoo. Again, he continued on with his ignorant ego stroking right up until we were walking out. Didn't say goodbye thanks for stopping in or thanks for your business, nothing. Overall probably the least professional human being I have ever had the displeasure to meet, and to think he owns a "reputable" business. I could go on and on about how he made my visit awful but hopefully this was enough to get the point across. I am extremely happy with my tattoo and the artist who did it. The owner, however, is fucking clown shoes. Austin was great and doesn't deserve to work in such a cesspool and I hope he goes elsewhere in the future so I can give him my business because I will never set foot in Broadway Tattoo again.
