My husband, sister-in-law and I came here on a whim on my 25th birthday a few days ago. They were busy, but we knew we’d have to wait because we just walked in. They were all so kind, so professional and relaxed. They didn’t make us feel like a burden, even though we were there kind of late. I am in LOVE with my tattoo, Jon did exactly what I asked for, and worked so quickly. My husband’s was great too, and they have both healed very well. My sister in law got her nose pierced, the girl that did it was sweet and patient with her nerves, she did the piercing very quickly and efficiently and she has also healed very quickly and with no problem. My husband made our first visit to Cody back in Feb after a bad experience with another shop. He was awesome, taking time to get us in on our anniversary! It was my husbands first tattoo and Cody made him feel at ease during the whole process. Fast forward nine months and I came back in for a pretty difficult cover up. My wife got her first tattoo here. We were treated quite rudely by the staff, but when their buddy walked in he got treated like royalty. The art was shoddy- she got a black semicolon on her hip- and it was nowhere near round or symmetric. Additionally, they didn't do any sanitizing as far as we could tell, and her tattoo got badly infected. It didn't help that their instructions for a first time tattoo is "oh, just keep it clean". After a month of antibiotics, we got her tattoo redone at Evolved in Columbus and had a completely different and much better experience. Read Less

Jonathan was the bees knees. He was super funny, professional and laid back. I went in with my mom (who got a piercing as well) and she's not one for pain, he made her feel as comfortable as one possibly can. I had gotten a double nose piercing. Fud did my tattoo freehand and its just stunning. I got this tattoo as a homage to my mom who passed away this year. I seriously cant say enough great things about this place and Fud. This is actually the second tattoo that Fud has done. Beware...he so awesome that you WILL want another. What I didnt mention at the beginning is...CLEANLINESS...This place is SUPER clean. From front to back, top to bottom, this place is, as all tattoo shops should be, cleanliness is a top priority. All the tools and things used throughout the tattoo process is SANITARY. Jessie Villars at Blue Byrd Tattoo in Middletown is by far the best artist I have worked with! She was flexible and professional during the design phase, the tattooing phase and the aftercare phase! Her attitude is great, and she made the whole experience one that I enjoyed! Not many artists will follow up during the healing of a tattoo, but she did, and it really impressed me! Let me just start off by saying that I will not be going to any other tattooist besides Jessie Villars at Blue Byrd Tattoo shop in Middletown, OH. I took time researching various tattoo shops and artists and was the most impressed by Jessie's work. Not only was her work phenomenal, she really takes pride in her work. She is filled with passion, and in my eyes that is what makes the tattoo artist. If they do not have the passion and pride in their work, it is visible in their work. Jessie, though she hasn't been tattooing for very long, made my tattoo experience the best ever. I have never been so happy with any of my tattoos. Not only did she do a great job, she made the whole experience enjoyable. The fact that she puts her all into her work is well noticed. The piece that I got is the first piece of my sleeve, which I am proud to say I plan to have Jessie finish. I would definitely recommend Jessie to anyone wanting to get a tattoo.
