I ended up going here when my appointment got cancelled somewhere else due to their piercer being ill. I loved my piercing in the end but I was uneasy about getting it done here. Pros - Fast. Looks great. Cons - Did not seem very friendly when I walked in, I felt like the staff didn't want me there. Also it's cash only. Read Less

My brothers and i went to Ken's for tattoos. The guy who did my tattoo acted like he didn't want to be there. The other guy who did my younger brother's tattoo was an amateur. I think I could have done the job he did. He was a young guy. He left white spots and there were really bad shading problems. Didn't even go back for the touch up a because I didn't want them touching me with another gun so we went somewhere else to get them fixed. Maybe we just ran in to some of their rookies but I don't think they should be working if they aren't ready.Read Less

Have seen ken's work around town and decided to have him do some work on my leg. When I went in I stated that I wanted Ken to do my tattoo. The guy at the counter said "I'm Ken." We got started and he finished it in about and hour. At first it looked pretty good but as it healed it got worse and worse. It's a horrible tattoo. I found out later that Ken "JR" did my tattoo!!! Went in for my first tattoo, was very nervous! But once I came in and started talking with Josh my nerves melted away and was replaced by feelings of comfort! I was astonished at how well my tattoo turned out and how painless it was! Pricing was reasonable by far for the quality of work. WOW. Thats pritty much what i have to say. I got my first tattoo done there On April 1, 2008 and they did such a good job. They took all the nervousness away from me by talking to me like we've been friends for years. I especailly loved the guy they called HIPPIE, he made me feel comfortable there. My tattoo looks GREAT! i lived in cincinnati for two years and was lucky enough to have found ken in such a short span! it took me a long time to trust anyone with my ink after my very good friend and previous tattoo artist had passed away; ken filled that role. the shop staff is easy going, friendly and professional, and their skill level is a cut above the rest. i live in austin now and, a nomad by nature, will probably live a multitude of other places in the upcoming years... i will, however, always go the extra mile (pun intended) and go back to ohio to visit ken for my tattoo work. my art is permanent and so is my artist. you rock, ken!! Great experience, it was my first tattoo... and the guy was super great. He was just going to free hand my stars, but I really wanted them to be perfect so he made the stencil like I asked. It was fast and painless.... will definitely go back for my next one! Read Less
