Paid 640 out the door for a hand tattoo. Somehow was there from 1pm till after close. After 7 hours of a palm size tattoo my artist had me there for 1 hour after they were finished taking pictures. I haven't even got any 'work' done yet and I'm already very impressed! I called, before they even opened, to leave a message that I was interested in getting a piercing. I was surprised to get a live person, and it turned out to be the owner, Jessie. She was very gracious and professional and answered my questions. I decided to stop by later that day to talk further and to see the studio. The beautiful Jess was there. She, again, was courteous and professional and answered my questions to the best of her ability. Studio 85 is overpriced and not well trained in piercings. My daughter and I got our noses pierced there last year and the piercer put a labret stud in our noses instead of the proper jewelry. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

I've been coming to Jessie ever since she worked on me when she was at Blue Byrd tattoo, after I was referred by a buddy to her. So happy to see her running her own parlor and LOVE the new shop. Feels like a lounge area that just happens to do tattoos. Doesn't have that gnarly tattoo parlor feel that sometimes you just don't feel comfortable in. Had to bring my 4 year old with me yesterday and she made him feel comfortable, of course her mother instincts kicked in haha but he was occupied and didn't get in the way and we were able it get done and it was and always is awesome. Won't even consider going to anyone else outside of Studio 85 but truly love having Jess do her thing for me. Too bad you can only give it 5 stars. Read Less

There are many places to get tattoos but I've yet to see this shop's equal. The shop itself has a clean, welcoming feel to it, closer to a coffee shop or art gallery than what you'd typically expect from a tattoo place. All the artists are ARTISTS and they're more than willing to work with you to create a piece of art that's going to be on your body. This isn't a place where some guys that think they can draw set up a tattoo shop and let you pick something that's within their meager ability from a book. Got tattooed by Lindsay Smith at my home away from home. She treated me as if I were her main focus for the entire 5 hours (even though we both really wanted to hear the soap opera on tv in the other room lmao). Can't wait till we pick up again July, 1!!! The drawing she came up with couldn't have caught the vision in my head any better. This tattoo is so symbolic about the biggest event that has happened in my life and I am forever in Lindsay and the entire studio's debt for capturing it in such a beautiful way so that when I see this tattoo I won't associate it with the pain and suffering it caused me but with the battle I have overcome and how much stronger I am now that I am beating it! From my first visit to discuss what I was looking for, my experience was great. I was greeted and helped quickly and very professionally. The atmosphere is wonderful, very laid back and comfortable. Once I arrived a few days later for my tattoo I was again greeted promptly. Now on to my artist. I can not say enough great things about Lindsay. She is an exceptional artist and made my old tattoo look great. Her work is amazing. I am more than pleased. Her use of color is amazing. As most know that have more than a few tattoos from various shops that it is hard to find one that you are totally comfortable with and trust entirely. I have not had any work done here but I stopped in for some jewelry for my tragus because my other jewelry had broken. I felt my 10 minute stop was worth 5 stars. The gentleman who helped me out was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He even put my new jewelry in my ears for me. My only complaint was that the jewelry was a bit pricey compared to other places but I was pleased with the quality and the amount of options available to me. I went to Jessie for my first tattoo and cannot wait to go back. Jessie was SUPER understanding of this being my first time. She used numbing cream and let me take breaks when I needed. Overall the tattoo took longer than expected and Jessie had to stay into the night. NEVER did I get the vibe that she was annoyed or wanted to go home.
