Had my ears pierced here. Quick, easy and practically painless. Their work is a bit pricey, higher than the malls charge for the same job. Unfortunately they became infected which was probably due to the surgical steel posts which I didn't want but they insisted upon. I must use my own platinum ones to avoid the problem. I did not plan on getting ink the day I walked into Squirrelly's. I had just gone in with my sister to get her some new hoops for her ears. Squirrelly, introduced himself and we started chatting about his work and his look books. He asked if I loved tats why didn't I have any and I told him I had never found the right place. His response was "That's cause you ain't been here!" He was right! Within minutes I was describing what I wanted and he had the girls drawing it up. I have gone to many different tattoo shops and nobody ever bothered to draw for me. And as they put it they were shocked since my design request was very simple. I wanted a moon and sun with two stars. It is a memorial tat for my parents and two brothers who have passed. I cried when they showed it to me... I just cried. So did my sister. The way the moon is hugging the sun is so perfectly like my father! And the colors he used, it all just is so perfect!  I could never thank this man and girls enough. Squirrelly is such a character. An old gruff biker tattoo artist who I am pretty sure has a heart of gold down under that smart ass nature. In talks with him I learned he has been tattooing for almost 40 years I believe he told me. He has taught hard for tattoo artist in our area even helping to work on legislation for the art! His walls are chockablock full of art and in between all that you will find trophies, certificates and awards of all kinds that he has earned. Got one of my tattoos done at Squirrellys back in February and I loved it the shop has great people who work there that are very nice and will help you with any questions you have. I went back in four weeks to have my tattoo touched up. I have started a full sleeve that Squirrelly himself designed and drew it free hand on my arm I am so happy with what he designed and have been smiling from ear to ear. I feel really comfortable at his shop and feel confident I have one of th...e best tattoo artists working on my ink. Once this sleeve is done I will definitely be getting more ink done by this shop. Also with me being there while getting tattooed I have heard the other employees explain to other customers on care of piercings and their tattoos.
