I looked into a place for my daughter to go to for her first tattoo, she's 18 now and on the spectrum and also has touch aversion so I wanted a studio who could be sensitive to her needs and I couldn't have found a better place. We contacted the shop online, asked a couple of questions and were responded to right away, we made an appointment and put down a deposit. On the day we had to do the tattoo I ended up also needing to have my mother with me (I take care of her) and the staff were very understanding and helped me get her comfortable while I sat with my daughter. She was quite nervous and needed to stop a few times but the artist was so patient and even got her a soda to help with her nerves. I couldn't have found a better place. I know we were difficult and had a lot of questions, took more time and needed a lot of emotional hand holding but never once did Anastasia (the tattoo artist) make my daughter feel any of that. And now she has a beautiful piece she loves. The only down side to the shop is that it's kind of cramped in the front hallway but the rooms are clean, they have a fantastic staff and we totally adore Anastasia for all her help. Read Less

The piercer was great, but when I called they told me it would be $80 for the double helix piercing plus the jewelry. So just for that it came out to be about $90. It was higher priced than my old shop I used to go to, but my former piercer left so I tried them instead. I had taken out my industrial for nursing school after having it for 6 years. He said the hole was still open and he just had to stretch it slightly and I assumed (I guess that's why they say that about assuming) it would not be as much since he didn't have to go through all of the steps for it. I was wrong. I walked out of there $120 less than I intended to spend because there is also an $8-$9 charge for credit! Ridiculously priced here, although it is clean. You can get the same service and cleanliness at Lambadi for a way cheaper price. Just, very over priced. � Read Less

I walked in 2/10/17 and had my daith pierced. I talked with the ladies ( Nicky and Hannah) in the office and they made me feel very comfortable. They were all very nice. TL/DR VERSION: Great barber, clean shop, great location. I find it fitting that he's working in a tattoo shop, because he has the same passion for his craft that the others share for tattooing. Dude provides a level of service well above what he charges, so don't be a goon. Tip the man. I met Jeff at the shop he was working at in Oxford, Ohio in the summer of 2016. I hadn't had a proper haircut and straight razor shave in nearly 5 months, and the last haircut I had received ...was from a 70 year old Phillipino man that may or may not have spoken much English. (So far, it has unanimously been the worst haircut anyone has ever seen. Yes. I have pics.) Anyway...back to our story... Jeff killed it. Wicked-fine hot towel straight razor shave, precision cut, perfect beard trim, straight razor and Pinaud to the neck to finish. The man has not only a passion, but a talent for the craft of barbering! Unfortunately for me, Oxford is too far to drive every 2-3 weeks, so I ended up not making it back out to see him again. Sad face. Today, I'm heading through town and realize that Immortal Canvas has opened up the barber shop! Score!! I need my fro busted in a bad way, so I'll stop in and see what's going down...maybe they can sneak me in. I walk through the door. The lobby is nice. The place is clean. Nice! As I walk to the counter, I'm facing the barbers chair, and boom. There he is. JP The Barber. The clouds parted. Cherubs laughed. A unicorn came out of nowhere and high-fived me. Ok...none of that stuff happened, but I was totally stoked that Jeff was the barber. Let me tell ya...you ladies think you got it rough finding someone to cut and color and do whatever to your hair?? Trying being a guy trying to find a proper barber. I know...I know... a woman's hair is heavy business, but I'm looking for the guy that I'm gonna pay to put a straight razor to my throat a couple times a month. � Oxford was too far to drive, but I drive past Immortal Canvas twice a day, so this was just like the stars aligning for me. Imagine that your hair girl has her salon right down the street, and your nail girl works there, and they sell LuLaRoe AND they'll take you as a walk-in. Anytime. I wait for about 30 minutes for Jeff to finish up with the fella that's in the chair before me. We catch up briefly, he gets down to it, and about an hour later, I'm lookin better than I have in months and I feel incredible. I skipped the shave today, but I still got a damn fine haircut with superior attention to detail...right down to the hot lather and straight razor to the neck line, followed up by powder to finish. Superb! Not to mention that the dude is just a down to earth cat that loves what he does. I gave the man five stars, because I really can't justify giving him anything less. What's more, If you take my advice, you'll start booking your appointments now fellas...he's gonna be too busy to cut us all, and there's only room for one chair in that shop... The tattoo took a while but he was very friendly and talkative with me and my friend I brought with me, which was really nice because most artists won't talk and joke around with you. Both of my tattoos were done by Archie at Immortal Canvas - one almost 3 years ago and another 8 months ago. Archie is an amazingly talented artist with laser precision. If I ever decide to get a third, he'll be my first and only call.For my first, after taking FOREVER to decide and switching my design about 300 times, I ended up getting something completely different than what I gave Archie in my design consultation. Granted, I had a few months to think about it - it takes about 3 months to get into Archie's jam-packed schedule. Yes, he's that good! Archie was very patient and non-judging, emphasizing that tattoos are highly personal and my design should be exactly what I want. I ended up drawing my own and have never regretted it for a second. I wanted it on my foot, which Archie advised was the most painful place, but didn't try to talk me out of it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I had no idea what colors I wanted when I came for my appointment. We had a great discussion about color theory and went with analogous colors. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!My second tattoo is especially meaningful. My mom, who is battling the most severe form of MS, wanted a tattoo for her 60th birthday to symbolize her fight. I decided to get one with her and designed the image. Of course, I would go to none other than Archie. He refined the design and supplemented it with beautiful script he created. Hers says, "Strength for today, hope for tomorrow" and mine says, "I'll stand by you". The image is a variation of an awareness ribbon, with the brightest bright orange to really pop - suggested by Archie. Both tattoos have held up incredibly well. I've heard foot tattoos need retouched often, but after 3 years it still looks crisp and beautiful. Aftercare instructions were very clear, and when I had a concern about how my second was healing Archie was happy to answer my questions. I recently had the pleasure of getting some work done at Immortal Canvas and had an amazing experience. I designed a very complex celtic knot and wanted it tattooed on my deltoid. Those of you who are seasoned tattoo enthusiasts know that knot work is very difficult and time consuming, those who aren't now know haha...The pre-tattoo process was made very easy as I was able to email the designs up to the artist for approval and consultation. Within two weeks the designs were reviewed and we had set an appointment. I decided on an artist named Archie Payne, who is  a very talented artist and a cool guy to hang with as well. Archie executed the extremely difficult line work to perfection. A good friend of mine was also getting a tattoo I designed for her, and hers was excellent as well.
