Absolutely love the atmosphere and the place smells so freaking good...like some kind of lemon pie. You can't help but feel comfortable there. He does awesome work...got 2 tattoos by him. Both were memorial tats; one for my grandmother that passed from ovarian cancer and the other is a wrench to commemorate my Dad that passed 17yrs ago. He was a body man mechanic his whole adult life. I came to East Dayton Tattoo on a whim with a friend of mine who had been there before. Glen and Carol accommodated us "on the spot" Their place is super cool. The walls are decorated with the many awards they have won along with several articles written about them and their work. Glen has a super light touch not heavy handed at all. I Live in Decatur Illinois. It's 5 hours to East Dayton Tattoo. I would drive over to Glen and Carols EAST DAYTON TATTOO shop around 11:00 in the morning. After eating breakfast at The Waffle House we would go back to the shop where Glen would ply his trade until one of us would say ok, that's enough for today. Great shop, Great people, Great work. The letters are beautiful and he made it look better than i thought it was going to turn out in my head (i wanted the letters to look 3D) my daughter absolutely loves it. Glen is rude and obnoxious. He'll tell you what you want instead of the other way around. He's done two of my tattoos,work is decent but his attitude sucks. When he did my second one I was actually there to get two but he didn't want to do the other one so I was suppose to go back. Really?!? Needless to say I didn't go back. I did get two more tattoos after that but he didn't do them. I went to Glenn Scott and he was great! Super friendly and gave me what I wanted. Won't go to East Dayton again nor will I recommend it. The artist does very excellent work. Definitely a heavy-handed tattoo artist but it's worth it because you know the ink is deep into your skin. Make sure you tell him EXACTLY what you want because unlike some other artists he doesn't read your mind at all and assume what you want so just be careful when describing in detail what you want.
