I was ready to give Wanderlust 5 stars before I even got the tattoo. This was my first bigger tattoo and I got it on my ribs, which have a bad reputation for being very difficult and painful. So about a week before my appointment I was very apprehensive and after the internet made it worse, I sent Jessi an email. She was super kind and gave me a lot of tips and eased my anxiety. 3 hours for a larger piece on my ribs and I was only uncomfortable for about the last forty five minutes. On top of that, I'm so glad she designed a tattoo instead of me just asking her to copy one because my piece is more gorgeous than I could have expected. Jessi is SO wonderful! She dedicated her entire day to accommodate my mom, sister, and I so we could all get tattooed together. She worked with us when we wanted to add or tweak something, took the time to make each of our rose designs unique, and everything turned out absolutely perfect. I was emailing Angie back in July to set up a appointmrnt. It took a while to get a response and everything. In mid Aug. we set a appointment for the end of September. I found out about 2 weeks b4 my appointment I needed to re-sch. So i started calling the shop. Spoke to diffrent ppl, left multiple messages with people, and multiple voicemails as well. I even email...that was over 4 weeks ago and no response. All i wanted to do was re-sch. So here I am over 2 weeks past my a...ppointment. Not one returned message, vm, email nothinhg. Needless to say I dont want to get my tattoo her. However, I would like my deposit back! They do good work here but the sch. System is a joke. They need to find a better system. It's sad because this is happening more and more. If you can't respond to emails and return messages, maybe hire someone to help. Super sad, it is a nice place with good artist. I went to Jessi for my firs tattoo (at 50 years old). She was awesome. She was patient, took her time discussing my idea, and I felt like she really understood what I wanted. I loved her design. While I love the work Logan does and was really looking forward to getting a 1/2 or 3/4 sleeve done, sadly my rating is based off my customer service experience and not the quality of the work he performs. I reached out to Logan and Wanderlust via email/contact form in Mid-May of 2016 to get on his scheduled (I knew he was booked out for months and I waited patiently while gathering ideas). In my email I talked about the general idea I had and few examples. After about 5 mo...nths of waiting I figured I would stop by the shop and talk to him in person to see if I could get an idea where I was on his list and if there is anything was anything that would be needed/required or I should have ready to help the process once we got together to set up my piece. Even though I did not have an appointment he was gracious enough to take about 10 min to talk to me about my ideas, he also confirmed that he received my email with examples and I let him know that he had complete creative freedom as far as size and design, his work spoke for itself. Logan estimated that based on my email date and where he was with current clients/waitlist that I should expect to hear from him the first 2 weeks of December and work could start as early as late January, perfect. Well fast forward to May 1, 2017 and I still have not heard a peep out of him or anyone at the shop, not an apology, update, nothing. So sadly, now a year later, I have concluded that for some unknown reason I am not going to hear anything and I have taken my money and patronage elsewhere. See More Read Less

I really liked the whole vibe of the shop. It was much more laid back than at most other shops I've used. I can't say enough about the artist. Angela was very professional and entertaining. I had my tattoo done by Angie, and the whole process was wonderful. She was very prompt in responding to my emails, and was very honesty about the whole design and what she thought. I had a hard time describing what I wanted and she just felt what I was going for and went 100 times better than I ever thought. This was the best tattoo I have ever received and best experience. This is the place to go. I went to see Angela Giese today to have her do a piece that is very dear to me. I have a 2 year old son with autism, and I wanted to do something that incorporated the autism puzzle piece symbol. I love Star Wars, so we did an R2D2 projecting the puzzle piece. Not to mention I haven't gotten a tattoo in about 7 years. Angela is an incredible artist with an awesome personality, and she made me feel right at home. She's very fun and easy to talk to, and I honestly felt like I knew her for years. She's got a fan in me for life, and I can't wait to go back for the next one. I couldn't possibly be happier. I was always nervous about getting a tattoo since I've seen so many bad ones, but after seeing Logan's work I was so excited to have his work forever on my body. He took a simple idea I had, and made something more beautiful than I could have imagined. It was a full piece on my right arm, and everything from the design to the layout was perfect. Back in 2013, I had gotten a tattoo from an artist in Istanbul whose work I fell in love with (hint: search watercolor tattoos and his work is always on the top). While he did amazing justice to the painting I made, my skin didn't like my color choices and the non-black portions faded. I had been searching for someone in the states (given the turmoil in Turkey) to recolor the piece and was surprised to find Logan in my metaphorical backyard. Logan is personable, professional, and has a wonderfully creative mind, and his work on the piece is absolutely jaw-dropping. We stayed away from the colors that had faded badly and went with a new scheme, and I have to say that it looks much better than my original painting. Wanderlust Tattoo Society is the most beautiful tattoo shop I have ever visited. The interior is warm and welcoming with lots of lovely plants and artwork. There is absolutely no negative vibe in this shop. Other tattoo shops I have visited are dark (visually) and do not put me at ease. I fell comfortable (this is Marjorie speaking) being tattooed at Wanderlust Tattoo Society. I have several tattoos from Logan and I will be making several future visits to WanderLust. Jake and Logan are the owners, and they are some of the most heart-warming, welcoming, and friendly people I have ever met. They make sure you are comfortable for the duration of your visit. Their musical choices are quite excellent and it's quite enjoyable to jam out to Florence and the Machine while under the needle. Logan is the tattooer and his artistic skills are remarkable. I have two b&w realism pieces by him (I have other pieces too) and the level of detail in each piece is surprising. I had absolutely no idea that Logan could replicate a sentient being on skin and in ink. I would highly recommend a trip to Wanderlust Tattoo Society for any sized piece of artwork. Read Less

I haven't been to Logan's new shop, but he did my first tattoo a few years back in Columbus. Logan is a professional, plain and simple. He sat down with me to plan out the tattoo, walked me through what the process would be like, and kept in contact with me all the way up until our appointment. He keeps his areas very clean and welcoming. As someone who was apprehensive about needles, he did a great job of staying supportive and calming. Since getting my piece I've traveled around the country and always get compliments. I've even had a few people get his information from me and promise to stop in as they're traveling through.
