Got a tatt here quite a few years ago when i was younger.. not by the owner, Marty.. not sure who it was.. younger kid.. but the work just wasn't good.. it started fading very soon after being done.. and it honestly looks like a kid did it.. I've had people tell me it looks like a prison tatt.. just no detail at all.. It's right on my wrist for everyone to see too.. I didn't do much research when i was younger.. you know how you are when you are in your early 20's..just want a tattoo.. Don't really think out all the details about the shop or artist.. Anyways.. i'll be getting it covered up soon. I remember coming early in the morning to get the tattoo done before work and i'm pretty sure the dude was hungover.. i wouldn't recommend going to any tatt artist in the morning.. Lesson learned. Not to mention the dude that tatted me was unprofessionally flirting and hinting at asking me out.. Was just uncomfortable, had to lie and say i had a boyfriend. Originally, i wanted lines around my wrist like a music staff bracelet of 5 lines... but the guy couldn't even do a straight line around my wrist.. When it comes down to it, the work put out by this shop is actually quite good indeed. Marty does know what he's doing, when it comes to art. If I were to have him do something, I probably would have it be a custom piece. He does gorgeous old school pin up girls that are quite admirable, and his shading is really quite gorgeous. His cartoonish realism is really quite strong. I'm not sure I would trust him with a portrait, but would with a very idealized female figure.
