I have had both of my tattoos done at Bodystain and I have been more than happy with each visit. My most recent visit was with Carmelo. I wanted to get a tattoo representing my children and I gave him artistic license to make it his own. He was very thorough in drawing up a tattoo and making sure I was satisfied. This is where I got my first tattoo. And I feel like they have done nothing but up there level a tattoo designs and took their talent to another level that's amazing. Go here before I would reach out anybody else I made that mistake and went somewhere else and the messed it up now I'm trying to get it fixed by Carmelo is so talented I'm worth the wait whatever it may be but he's an amazing tattoo artist. The shop also is very clean very sterile and they all handled himself in a professional manner. Had an appointment scheduled elsewhere but wanted to get in sooner, so I called body stain and they told me to come in same day... I went to get my tongue re pierced and I'm so glad I did! The young guy at the counter was very informative, told us all about the different types of piercing and bars; he really knew what he was talking about. The lady that did my tongue was so nice and very calm and talked me through the whole thing, which only took about 3 seconds. I've had several piercings done, including my tongue for the second time. This experience blew every other one out of the water, down to every last detail! My wife and I came to Columbus for a couple days to shop and go to a comedy show. I had an old tattoo on my wrist that I wanted covered up. We stopped in after seeing all of the great reviews and they def lived up to expectations. I told the artist what I was looking for and that we were on limited time because we were from out of town.  Our artist customized my idea and brought it to life on my skin.  We live approx 3.5 hrs away but would def make the drive back for more art.. Been there for 2 tattoo sessions so far, and they're good! I'm getting a half sleeve done on my right forearm, and Shawn Phay is the artist doing my tattoo. Seen some of the artist's work as well and they all do good work. All the employees are very friendly and will take care of you. I will defintinatley be going back for more art work in the future. This place was awesome. A group of friends and I came in for piercings while in Columbus and immediately felt at ease when we walked in. The guy at the counter helped us pick out piercings and get checked in. The piercer, Shea, was SO professional and changed gloves at least three times. I found Bodystain via the Wounded Warrior Project as they were helping me fulfill my lifelong dreams of having arm sleeves. At first glance I was concerned about the area and neighborhood- however, the moment I walked in the door I was blown away. The shop is immaculate, staff is friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. Their prices are more then fair and the work is phenomenal! I've now had more then a dozen pieces performed on my way to two sleeves and every piece is it's own piece of art. Melo and Shawn have worked on me and each is spectacular. My aunt and I didn't have appointments and just walked in for two tattoos. Melo did both of them and was patient with us, adjusting our designs to exactly what we wanted. 5 years ago i got my first tattoo. I was 16 and my parents let me get one for my birthday. I do not remember who did it, it was a young lady with bright blonde hair, i believe her name started with an H. But she made me feel comfortable and she did amazing work. This shop is the best shop I have been to for both a piercing and a tattoo. The shop is very clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely professional. My piercer was Shea. She did an industrial on my ear, it turned out amazing and healed with no problems. It was quick and easy and she is the only piercer I will go to. My tattoo was done by Shawn. I love coming to the this shop! Shea has done 13 piercings for me and I love all of them. She is incredibly friendly and walks me through everything she is doing without being overwhelming. Anytime I need new jewelry or a size adjustment she seems happy to help. She also takes a lot of care with making sure everything is sanitary and I am a bit of a clean freak when it comes to body modifications! Just got my first tattoo. Shawn did the work and it looks good so far. He explained the next few days for care 3 times for me and even worked with me as I made a change right before he started. I had my nose pierced here a couple of years ago and it was a wonderful experience. I was nervous (never had a piercing besides my ears). Everything was sterile and clean. I don't remember the name of the guy who pierced me, but he was so kind and even wiped away my one little tear:) I took care of it exactly how they suggested (they didn't try to sell me any kind of expensive solution--just said salt water would work!) and never had any infections or issues. I went to Body Stain for the first time today to get my industrial done. I've heard about other places, but my friend Erin has talked about how awesome the staff is there, so I went.The outside of the shop looks like pretty much every other tattoo and piercing shop, but don't let that turn you away. Inside, it's full of artwork, you can see the jewelry they offer, prices for piercings are in a visible location above the counter, and the whole place is clean. And I mean clean. Not at all dingy and disgusting like the tattoo shops you see in the movies or in nondescript areas.Going along with keeping it clean, the staff wears gloves while they're working with you, and they wash their hands before and after. Not only that, they have disposal bins for the needles they use. Definitely a fantastic thing to see.My piercer was Mikey. He's a laid back, friendly guy. We talked about animals, work stuff, and mental health for a bit while he got everything ready, and he let me take my time to relax in between the first and second piercing. I have absolutely no pain tolerance, and he didn't rush me at all. Instead, he told me I was doing great. It made me feel like a champ. That helped me a lot. When we were done, he gave me aftercare instructions and informed me about the average healing time.I will definitely be going back. I have some other piercings in mind and some tattoos, and after this fantastic experience, I'm definitely telling everyone I know to take their business to Body Stain. I could never ask for better. My artist is Eric Adkins, he is skilled and talented just like the rest of the crew!
