I have several piercings, including my helix, tragus, naval, and nipples. I have had all these piercings done at Body Jewel. My absolute favorite piercer is Jasmine! She is amazing. First of all, she talks to you about the piercing before you get it done. She asks why you're getting it, what made you want it, etc. I especially appreciated this when I was getting my nipples done because it made the atmosphere more comfortable, if that makes sense. She seemed generally interested in me and my decisions. She helped me relax before getting my piercings done. When she is using the marker to place the dots of where your piercing is going to be, she is very precise and makes sure you are happy with placement before she continues. All of my piercings are exactly where I wanted them to be. She explains the process of what is about to happen if you don't already know before she does anything to you. When she is doing the actual piercing, she is very sterile and professional. After each piercing I got, she explained all of the ways to clean and take care of them. She always explains that I can come back if I have any problems and she will fix any issues I am having, such as bar replacement if I have swelling. Got my septum pierced today at the Tuttle mall location! My piercer was Chris and he was awesome! He did a great job of explaining everything to me. It hardly hurt at all! Everything in the shop was very clean and tidy. They sterilized everything too. The lady at the front desk was really friendly and helpful too. I'm super happy with my experience here. I've gotten all of my piercings here, I have 6 total not including ears, great and pleasant atmosphere. They have all healed in good time, and they were very sterile and clean while piercing. Well. I have a couple of things. I'll just go right into it. 5 years ago, I got my nose pierced. I was nervous as hell but the piercing artist knocked it out of the park. Made me, my mom, and my friend feel so comfortable. It healed amazing. I did get an irritation bump, but I'll admit it's because my 15 year old self couldn't get over the fact that my mom actually let me get it and I couldn't stop touching it for the life of me. But 5 years later it has healed beautifully. I'll have it for many many years. 3 years ago, I got my belly button pierced by the same artist. She was awesome again. This time I got no infection because I left it alone, I have no complains. Still have the piercing. 3 years ago, I got a second piercing done on my ear lobes. Different artist, was kinda bitchy but did a good job and I still have both of them. Healed beautifully. Here's where things start to go downhill.....2 years ago I got my industrial. WHAT. A. SHIT. SHOW. for one, an industrial is no joke. My best friend got hers done and was like "I love it, but it hurts like a bitch". I still wanted it. I went to body jewel and the same girl that did my lobes was going to do my industrial. I was annoyed because I remembered how rude she was, but she's good at her job so it's no big deal. So I thought. This woman goes to put the needle in and literally slips. I felt the slip and watched her hand slip. I thought it was in my head until I looked at the mortified expressions on my mom and best friend's face. I was instantly pissed when she didn't even acknowledge the slip. The piercing healed terribly. It was so incredibly infected and each time I went in they advised me to clean it and NOT remove it. I finally had to go to my doctor that removed it immediately and the second it was removed a disgusting about of puss and blood spewed from the piercing. It healed days later, and felt 50 times better even though they told me that if I took it out I would experience a horrible infection. That was wrong. I shouldn't had gone back, but I did. Last year before my vacation in June I went to get my Tragus pierced. The girl who did my nose and the other first few piercings did my tragus. Unfortunately, she didn't tighten it enough and it came out in the middle of the night. When I went back the next day she replaced the jewelry and re-pierced me for free. Awesome. Then 2 days later it fell off again while I was DRIVING to vacation. Which means it was pressed up against absolutely nothing. I called them that day and told them I'm on the road to Florida, but I am calling now so you know when it truly fell out which is only 2 days after leaving the shop. When I went back again after vacation it had obviously closed. They told me that I am obviously playing with it and need to stop touching it. I explained that the only time I ever touch my piercings is when I'm cleaning them or when they are healed and I'm changing the jewelry ever since the disgusting irritation bump I got on my nose when I was 15. They told me it was 100% not their problem. They wanted to charge me an entire fee again because they couldn't taper it and refused a refund.Won't go back, unfortunately. Read Less

Every time I go into Body Jewel its always clean and organized. I have gotten most of my piercings from there, and I have never had any issues. They are thorough, and make sure you understand how to take care of yourself during healing. Everyone is SUPER friendly, and cool. I will never go anywhere else for a piercing. EVER. I go to the Dayton Mall location all the time to get piercings and buy jewelry, to the point some of the workers recognize me, and it's always great but there is one worker who is extremely rude every single time I go there, and today she nearly yelled at me when I changed my mind about which piece of jewelry I wanted to purchase. At first I thought it was just a solitary incident but every time I return and she's there she becomes more rude and more aggressive. Do not come here! My wife's septum piercing fell out so we went to Body Jewel because of the 'free' jewelry switching they offer. We were told about this free service after we had her septum pierced and her eye brow done so when it fell out we went to them for help. Bad idea.   The lady (Taylor) who was 'helping' us was too busy talking to her friends to help. We we're standing there after we asked where the septum jewelry was and when asked for help getting the jewellery, she continued talking to her friend until she was done then came over. We asked if she can put the new one in because the last one fell out and neither of us could get it back in. Taylor told us there was a $10 fee for doing it. When told that we told her that she was told itd be free since she was pierced there, she told us that it was only fee if we brought the receipt. This is entirely opposite of what the man who pierced her said and from the experiences that we and our friends have had at the Tuttle Mall store. The woman got an attitude with us for bringing that up and when she rang us up not only did she put the jewelry in wrong, she also didn't add the charge for the piercing change, probably assuming she had saved herself some work. My wife asked her to add the piercing change and the woman got her a form for it and then walked away to talk to her friend again. She kept walking off with the bag of jewelry and when my wife asked to see the bag to make sure it was the right size she got an attitude once more. At this point my wife was so sick of the rudeness she decided to just pay for her jewelry and try to change it at home. Of course declaring that was met with more attitude. We left and the store was full of people, but the only one even being acknowledged was her friend. Read Less

Great resource for body jewelry. Huge selection of plugs and big clearance section. Their kiosk at Polaris mall is pretty much the only place I buy belly rings. It's the only place I've found that sells rings that don't irritate my piercing - don't bother with the crap at Hot Topic and Spencer's. This stuff is better quality at a lower price. Do be careful about the plugs, though - stick to stone or metal. I got some plastic ones that fell apart. Read Less
