I sent this email to them four days ago and no response.Hi there,I've decided to email the company about my experience before being "that customer" who writes a Yelp review before trying to contact first. My friend and I decided to go in the Parsons location yesterday and our experience went a little different than expected. This was my first tattoo so I'm going to be a little more nervous than the next. The work we received was pretty good, but the professionalism of our artist was ridiculous. I believe his name was Chris and according to him he "didn't really work there." Every chance he got he would talk about his coworkers when they weren't around. We didn't really need his drama, we have our own to attend to. On top of that, he was discussing the company's business plans in front of us to coworkers who clearly didn't know. I'm usually the sarcastic one and I can definitely take a joke. However, he was doing my tattoo and talking to his coworker and I jumped in(you know, because I'm getting a tattoo and want to enjoy it and not just sit there awkwardly) and his immediate response was, "Was I talking to you?" In which I responded, "No, but I was talking to her[coworker]." Then he kept repeating it. Why he decided to argue over trying to jump in on the conversation, I'll never understand.I showed Chris a picture close to what I wanted, it was pretty simple. It was a total of two triangles and some Roman numerals. He decided it would be a great idea to print out a picture of someone else's arm so it was incredibly warped and told me that I should just "trust him." He asked what the meaning of it was and he laughed. I explained multiple times that I was just a little nervous because it was my first tattoo and still wasn't reassuring that everything would be fine. My friend didn't know how to lay on the bench which he got frustrated and had an attitude about. I asked one more time, very nicely, if we could type out what I want instead of using a picture of someone else's arm. He had me go up to his coworker and ask if he could make it which made me feel bad. Josh and I only took about ten minutes to figure it out and it looked incredible, and he is the only reason why I continued on to get it. Honestly, I wish I would have asked if Josh could do it. He was kinder and way more professional. Lastly, working in the medical field I'm very cautious when it comes to sterility. He never opened the new needles in front of us which we didn't realize it until we were in the car after the fact. Meaning, we have no clue if the needles he used were sterile or not. On top of that, he was on his phone as much as he possibly could be. Knowing that cell phones, in general, are incredibly dirty, he probably answered five or six calls with his sterile gloves on. He carried on nonemergency and pointless conversation that could have waited until we had left.We wish we could say that our experience at 22 Caliber was nothing less than excellent, but it pretty much sucked. We also know it may not be the company itself but rather just the one employee; putting all of the great reviews we saw before going into consideration. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear back.Best, Read Less
