If I could give .5 a star I would. Talking on the phone all the women working there seemed sweet and knowledgeable. Made an appointment, and when I went in I forgot my ID. When looking for a picture to show of it, my dad suggested we just make appointment the following day with the male piercer that was helping us... I said "why" in a simple tone.. to my father. And this piercer let all hell break loose. Telling me that I "cannot be disrespectful to my father because then he won't pierce me" and that "my fathers the one signing so I have to be nice to him" and it's "unacceptable". Everything between my dad and I was fine... No one took anything any way but the piercer. After a stranger raised his voice at me I wasn't sure I wanted him with needles by my ears! The people here are truly genuine and are THE best at what they do. Every time I go in for a session, they make me feel welcome and comfortable. Great atmosphere and artwork. Mainstreet Studious will be the only place I get any work done at, along with my wife and recommendations. If there could be a higher rating, you'd bet your ass I would rate higher. Went there yesterday for my first tattoo. Got 2 done, one was a best friend tattoo with my friend of 17 years and the other was a memory tat. Best tattoo shop I have ever been to. Staff is friendly. Environment is clean. Even let me leave my photography business cards. Yes prices are a little high, but hey, you get what you pay for, plus free touch ups? Amazing. Can't wait to get my tattoo Saturday! I had a small arrow done on my wrist and my best friend. Our appt wast at 2 they asked us to push it to 3 and then we still didn't get seen till 330. I was quoted 75$at for both and then charge 60$ a piece. It's the next day, seems to be healing fine and the work was good just a little unhappy about the prices especially after the wait. Read Less

I had been seeing Ashley here for my piercings for the last 8 years and she was the only person I trusted until Felicia was added to the shop. The most knowledgeable staff I have ever met and will go above an beyond for you. They are constantly ordering specialty pieces for me when they don't have them. I now live in the Washington DC area they often ship my jewelry to me and I always make it a point to visit when I'm home for anything else that I need. I've also seen Jesse for a number of custom tattoos. I can't say enough how much I enjoy him both as a person and as an artist. He always manages to create the most breath taking pieces for me and the lines are the closest I've ever seen to perfect! Well worth the trip home and the money. My most favorite tattoo place! Jesse hooked me up with a fabulous cover up tattoo after getting a crap job done elsewhere. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it. All the staff are friendly and easy going. Prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the work. The one and only negative thing I could say is that they didn't seem to have any partitions or private areas for work being done in private/personal areas of the body.
