I just had my third tattoo with Joe ( probably 20th tattoo experience overall) yesterday. He and his entire staff made me feel so welcome. I don’t mean to stereotype, but in my experience, the tattoo business has typically been full of people who are generally full of themselves and pretty self serving. Beautiful and exceptional shop in the heart of Ashland. The artists are professional and shop is a work of art. The wait time for work is long so book a session with your artist early. Holdfast is like no other tattoo parlor you could have the please of visiting. When you step foot in the door it reminds you more of an art studio than tattoo parlor. The atmosphere is very relaxed and John and Joe make you feel right at home. Their hygiene technics are second to none and will make you look at every tattoo parlor you visit after them with a different perspective.I had the pleasure of letting John put a half sleeve on me and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. He spend hours after work organizing my thoughts, incorporating my comments and putting together a piece that made sense and fit on my arm. He even worked me in in his down time to make sure I would get my piece done before I moved out of state John is a true artist and awesome human being. He will work with you, listen to what you have in mind for your tattoo and spend the time to make sure it is right before putting ink to skin. I am truly blessed to have had the chance to meet John and spend 19 hours with him putting his talent to work on my skin.
