All of my tattoos were done by Patrick Carter and honestly have been amazed by each one. Now I’m not just talking about one or tattoos here, I’ve got my whole forearm covered by Patrick. I tell all my friends and family to goto Arkham for their tattoos. Hell, I even have one of their stickers on the back of my car. (The pink “semi quality tattoos, absolute shit people). The reason I keep coming back to Patrick and Arkham is because it feels like a tattoo shop. There’s no edm ...music playing, there’s no black paint on all of the walls, or anything of the sort. It’s a real tattoo shop and I plan on getting my whole sleeve done there. I would trust anyone but Patrick to do my sleeve to be honest, so if you’re reading this and are on the fence about going to Arkham or any other shop in Akron. My first experience with Arkham Tattoo was last year this time. Patrik Carter was my artist and I was so comfortable with him immediately. My Phoenix tattoo was perfect and knew right away that I had found a good artist. Today I went back and Patrik did my spinal tattoo...which is absolute fire! Patrik is extremely professional, personable, and his artistry is amazing! He provides great feedback and professional expertise during his consultations and as he begins his sessions. Eric was the guy that met me in the lobby when I came with my friend on Saturday. My friend got her tattoo done with Patrick on that Saturday and she loves her tattoo. He did a great job and was extremely Pleasant to work with. Eric took my design and explained the process and we worked together to design the beginning of my sleeve. I came back the next day for a session and am beyond impressed by the professionalism and artwork that was done. Stopped in to get a tattoo that literally took 15 minutes. I only dealt with one of the artists, but won't mention his name. He argued with me on where my tattoo should be put and how it should read. Didn't hold a conversation with me the entire time either. Ended up getting the tattoo how and where I wanted it, but wasn't thrilled with the ENTIRE experience. He even made paying difficult. I've only heard good things about this place, so I'm pretty disappointed with my experience. Next time I'll go somewhere where the artist will make me feel comfortable. Read Less

I drove to Arkham tattoo from my home in Sandusky, Ohio because of their reputation and it exceeded my every expectation. I have been tattooed in many shops and by far and away my experience with Arkham has been my favorite and the best. Patrik was professional and courteous throughout the session and receptive to my input as far as the design was concerned. The tattoo itself is excellent and looks as good on my skin as it did on the page. The rest of the staff I encountered ...throughout my visit were also extremely kind. Arkham is a welcoming environment and I will be returning in the future. Patrik is excellent at his craft in all aspects and made the experience as a whole an extremely pleasant one. I called to find out if they took debit/credit cards and they said yes.  When I went in to get a tattoo, I was told it was cash only and that I had to come back in an hour or two.  There was no one else in the store, and I was hoping to get in at that time.  I felt inconvenienced and NOW I had to make an additional stop to get cash. This left me feeling uneasy with the way they do business, so I certainly wasn't comfortable getting a tattoo there. I had my first tattoo done by Danny!I cannot say enough great things...as a newbie, you can understand the intimidation factor of walking into ANY tattoo studio and the fear of being laughed at, especially when you want a small simple design!Arkham changed all of that.  The shop was clean and comfortable.  The tattoo artists were professional, yet friendly and inviting.  I was completely respected.  I was able to make changes to the design and placement without any questions asked.  Danny also eased all of my fears about any pain (or lack thereof!)  He showed concern about my comfort and we had enjoyable conversation throughout the process.The best part is that I didn't actually get what I wanted... I can't say enough good things about the guys at Arkham. Though Kyle, who has done all five of my tattoos, is gone, I'd recommend this shop to anyone. The place is clean and orderly, and I've never had unfriendly service. You DO have to go in for a consult, but last time I went I was living in another city and Kyle worked on my idea via phone since I've been a client of his before. The guys in the shop are nice and always try to put you at ease. Prices are fair and they are great about making a tattoo just for you.
