I stopped into Addiction today to ask about walk-in tattoos and piercings. The staff was extremely welcoming and informative. I decided to get an extremely sensitive area of my body pierced. Willie was very professional and easy to talk to. He took his time with the marking and was extremely quick and efficient with the actual piercing. The saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply here. I got a tattoo that could have easily cost me $900, for $550. I mean this tattoo is worth of the spotlight, the amazing amount of detail fit into the tattoo is crazy. The staff is truly proficient at their art and will get you in and out with the tattoo of your dreams in the blink of your eye. Easy on the eyes , easy in the wallet, Ect. Ect. So glad I went here. Got a septum piercing, wanted it for years but was afraid. The piercer was the best! Made me very comfortable and I was not scared at all. Called a day ahead of time to see if someone would help me take my cartilage piercing out (that had been done else where) and Willie was happy to let me stop by anytime.  Came in today and he took me back right away.  The whole store was immaculately kept and Willie was incredibly careful to make sure his hands were clean and what he was using was sterilized.  He got my piercing out painlessly, which was GREAT, and made sure to clean up my ear.  He even gave me options as to what I could do with the piercing in the future. Nate was the artist who did my custom tattoo & I highly recommend him. He took the time time make certain that everything was to my expectations. But best of all was that he was able to move me up in his schedule by about 4 weeks when I told him I had a bodybuilding competition coming up & I was concerned about the tanning & oil on a fresh tattoo. I used to run a piercing business team in San Francisco in 1991but had taken out my jewelry long ago. I have recently decided to get my favorite piercings redone and the staff here has been great. The two piercers on staff have both done work on me that they should be proud of. They are professional, considerate, and provide superior consultation on placement, size and functionality of the work they do. I have now had 3 rather sensitive piercings done here and have had the finest experience of my many years in the business from their piercing Artisans. Willy is fantastic, and despite my experience, I happily placed my complete trust in his decisions for placement and sizing. He is sure of hand and his work is has not produced the generally expected temporary swelling that is indicative of piercings post healing process. I was told it would cost around 250 and take 2 hours. My artist only did the outline instead of the whole tattoo and charged me 300. And they also accused me of not putting down my 100 dollar deposit when I did while setting up the appointment. Read Less

I got my first tat done 3 days ago by blane. Absolutely love it. It turned out beautiful and there is hardly any irritation at all afterwards. I was nervous of how it would feel while healing. I have gotten piercings and tattoos at Addictions over the last 15 years and it was a great experience each time until these last few times. I got tattoo work done this past summer. Don't get me wrong, I know my tattoo is a beautiful work of art and have received a few compliments on it, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted and considering this was a very important tattoo for me because it was in honor of my mother who passed away, that is kind of a big deal. I lived a few hou...rs away so I emailed, in advance, my tattoo design and the details of how I wanted it done, so the artist could know what I wanted and be prepared. I guess that didn't work as I had hoped. Now I have this tattoo on my forearm that is just a constant reminder of my worst tattoo experience thus far. Now I just keep thinking of ways to somehow make it something I am comfortable living with, and have to save up even more money to have it fixed up. I was tattooed by Athena Funk today for about 7.5 hours. I've been searching for someone to do a portrait of my cat for nearly 10 years, and I finally found someone who perfectly captured her essence. Athena is great at listening to what you want, and her artistic vision and expert execution are phenomenal. I have a large amount of tattoos and have spent 40+ hours being tattooed by 6 different artists. Athena has, by far, the lightest touch. If you're looking to get a large piece or maybe you're new to tattoos and want something small, I think you'd have a really great experience with her. Athena's line work is beautiful. I let her decide on the colors (since this was a portrait, we used my cat's real coloring) to accent the tattoo, and it's so visually and tonally balanced!Check out my photo of the tattoo right after it was complete. I am from Portland, OR, where tattoos are as much of a staple as Starbucks.  I would recommend  this place to anybody. They are nice, clean, and take a lot of time to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. If it's your first tattoo, they explain the process and give clear instructions for taking care of your ink. All of my tattoos are very detailed so I appreciate artists that have a light hand. I think the location of this place is what makes it seem like a secret being kept by the locals, so leave it to me to bust that wide open. Read Less

Oh come on, Fargo. Get with the yelping trend on this place. Before leaving Fargo, I wanted to get a final tattoo to mark my departure. I called a few other shops, and all of them said I could stop in to discuss my ideas. No problem! My idea was basic, and literally any decent artist could do it. However, most of them treated me like I was a nuisance. Whatever. It's not like I was a paying customer or anything. Finally, someone treated me with respect. The lady helped me by giving me Athena's email address to send her my ideas, so I payed my deposit and was on my way. The time came for my appointment. Since I hadn't met with Athena, I was instructed to come in a little early so she could consult with me and draw up my idea. She started by drawing my quill right onto my arm so I could see the placement. She then drew a quill in three different sizes so we could pick the perfect size. Athena was great about giving me her honest opinion, but still let me make the final decision. We finally agreed on the size, and she began. This definitely wasn't my first tattoo, but I apparently don't handle the wrist very well. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I got extremely light headed. Yep, that's right. I almost fainted. Pause for humiliating laughter. Athena repositioned me and was really great about the whole embarrassing situation. 5 hours later, and I was finished. I seriously cried when I saw it.
