Moved here from MA about 3 years ago and it didn't take long for me to find out about Eternal Ink. My first visit I had my daith pierced, by Roberta, which helped wonderfully for my migraines. Ms Roberta helped us greatly - my 6-yr daughter had taken her earring out because it was hurting and after treating it, we couldn't get the earring back in. Ms Roberta jumped into help - calmly putting the earring back into my very-nervous daughter's ear after cleaning the ear. If I had to rate this shop/piercer (ROBERTA) of 5 stars, 5 stars would honestly not be enough, Why? Because my expectations were met and she went above and beyond standards. This shop (Eteral Ink) knocked it out of the park with their outstanding customer service, very sanitary/cleanliness throughout the shop (including their restroom), every question I had was answered accordingly, I was educated well both before and after my piercing process, my sister and I were both offered a cold soda, my piercer had also went out of her way and free time to leave her home just to come back to pierce me and I was a walk-in client (didn't even make an appointment). This woman is loyal to her duties and this is someone who actually has a strong passion for what she does. No one wants to go into a shop where the only conversation is "okay, 1,2,3 you're done, $40!". This woman actually got to know me, she educated me, she gave me clear instruction on my healing process (aftercare), and again, she came to the shop on HER time when she had already been home just to satisfy a customer. I will continue referring people to your shop for your dedication and greatness! I've never been pleased with a shop in Raleigh, NC! EVER! 'Rock 'N Roll Tattoo' re-pierced my shallow navel from 'Risk Takerz' only for my "fixed piercing" to be very crooked. (Risk Takerz pierced me way too shallow where you could literally see the jewelry through my skin and if I sat down wrong, it would've popped right out)!! An artist from 'Rock N Roll' also gave me a horrible hip tattoo. I have raised scar tissue, horrible line work, ink outside the lines, shading is trash and I was told he was impaired while he performed by tattoo.. it couldn't be worse and a cover up isn't an option as it's already a very dark and big tattoo. And laser removal will cost me thousands (not to mention I've already got raised scar tissue from the tattoo itself). 'Romantic Tourture' is disgusting! As soon as you walk in, cigarette smoke and $10 a piercing is $10 for a reason. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR PEOPLE!!!! 'North Star Tattoo' I'm not even going to rant on my multiple experiences encountered at that shop. And it's quite unsanitary to cut hair in the same shop you tattoo and pierce people. Smh. I hate to talk bad about other shops but I know a lot of people like to know who they should and should not go to. Again, Roberta, I commend you on your work ethic! I got both my nipples done at the same time and they're perfectly symmetrical, they're healed, and they're beautiful :) I WILL be in your shop for my Rook, Anti-Tragus, and Conch ear piercings and possibly, for the third time, have my navel pieced lol. I just had a session with Greg yesterday.  I am so excited that he is reworking an old sleeve for me.  He is really into color, He made me feel comfortable- for someone who hasn't been in the tattoo chair in Aeons.  He is a lively soul and great for conversation.  I almost forgot I was getting tattooed.  Old rockers take note, he will talk to you about all the tunes we cut teeth on.  Counter service was great too, kudos! I got my tattoo at Eternal Ink yesterday, June 18, 2015. It was my first one and I was a ball of nerves. I came in and David Siegel, my artist, calmed my nerves and explained that he was very gentle. It wasn't very painful at all and it took approximately 35 minutes. It is a beautiful piece. If I get another, I'm going back to Eternal Ink and having Dave doing it!It's a very clean shop, and each artist has their own private room which I liked. I won't go anywhere else in NC. This is a clean shop that follows the law & respects their art & their customers. From a piercing perspective, they won't use shoddy, plated, plastic, aftermarket, or substandard jewelry to pierce with. They won't give you a piercing that isn't going to work on your body, and they won't give you a piercing that is trendy but too dangerous. I have had 4 piercings with Roberta  & she has gauged up my ears numerous times & my nose once. From  tattooing perspective, Jerry (Gerald) has been my artist of choice & I have sat with him at least 7 times. I love the work he has done. Clean outlines &  great color saturation. I have 2-3 more sittings with him to complete a piece on my leg & once that is done we have already started planning for another piece. I have a heart condition & am diabetic which are both challenges when it comes to getting tattoos and piercings. Both Roberta & Jerry are knowledgeable on the additional steps & care these conditions require both of me & of them to ensure I have a quality result. This place is awesome!! The staff is very knowledgeable about tattooing and the issues that can arise with difficult tattoos. Very friendly and excellent service and after care as well as speedy service. Also one of the tattoo artists is an amazing artisan of knives and leather accoutrements. Jerry is a master at his art. I brought in a map of my home country (which features a very complicated coastline and multiple islands) for a piece I wanted on my chest. I thought the whole process would take at least 90 minutes, Jerry finished it in less than 30, with incredible attention to detail. It came out so much better than I imagined and I am thrilled with this beautiful symbol of my homeland.The shop is extremely clean and has a great atmosphere, Roberta at the front desk is very friendly and awesome to talk to. I checked out several tattoo shops in Raleigh and am happy I settled on Eternal Ink. Even though it's a 40 minute drive for me it was worth it. Both the tattoo artists have lots of experience (27 & 12 years) and have the portfolios of excellent work to prove it. While my tat wasn't super complex they offered design suggestions, excellent work, a welcoming atmosphere, and a good price. Well done! Read Less
