The caliber of professionalism and actual skill is above what other local shops are capable of (we know- we've tried them). David applies skill, ability, knowledge, and the utmost professionalism in every aspect of his work and words. His tattoos are amazing, he never speaks poorly of others' work, and he explains what he does and why he does it. Highly recommend!

I recently went in yesterday to get a tattoo to cover some scar tissue. Shane was such a good artist and he always kept having conversations, which was really nice because usually, when I'm getting a tattoo I'm on my phone and usually not talking. If anyone wants a tattoo last minute, it's a good place to go!

Please do not go here for any piercings. I wasn't given ANY aftercare instructions, nothing. The ball fell off and it's in a difficult place to screw back on. I went back into the shop and the piercer...
Please do not go here for any piercings. I wasn't given ANY aftercare instructions, nothing. The ball fell off and it's in a difficult place to screw back on. I went back into the shop and the piercer complained that I was the third person who came in bc the ball fell off. He told me to sit on the table and I quickly asked if he was going to wash his hands (reminder...open flesh wound). He hesitantly said, well I guess I can put on some gloves. He grabbed the gloves with his unwashed, dirty hands (previously was sitting on the couch playing with his phone), clamped the already sore and swollen piercing with the tools that were laying on the counter - no sanitation done to those either, dropped the ball, grabbed another out of a drawer (not sterile or wrapped), had a difficult time getting it back on, and told me the only other option was to take it out if he couldn't get it back on. I quickly told him that was a terrible idea because any infection would just get trapped inside my ear. After causing substantial trauma to my already inflamed ear, the ball was screwed back on. I have a full back tattoo from another shop, which felt like nothing compared to this experience. I also expected the same level of cleanliness and sanitation that I experienced at the other shop. A day later, I'm soaking my ear in a saline solution, while it's red, swollen, and oozing pus. I just hope my ear doesn't fall off! Stay far far away! I wish I'd known better. I'm not sure how the piercing license is maintained with the lack of sanitation. It's appalling.

Went here for my first tattoo and it was the worst mistake I have ever made, it was done poorly, I gave him a picture that he DID NOT use, and the coloring didn't even turn out remotely decent.. there were spots of skin that he had missed so there were just random openings all in this tattoo and it was a nightmare. LUCKLY evolution ink did a wonderful cover up.

A folks, I called this place Wednesday and I was told to come at 12 as there was nothing planned at that time. On Thursday I get there at 12, the doors are locked. I wait until I saw a guy walk in, he locks it and then will not answer the phone. I go to the door again and it's still locked at 1216. I go back to my car and call and was told I would have to wait because now they have someone coming in 20 minutes. Jeez! I drove 45 minutes for this dump! I would not recommend it. If their customer service is awful, imagine the ink!
My star would be a disaster rating if possible.

I went to True Tattoo after a bad experience at another place (not their fault; I have a medical condition I didn't consider) and David was fantastic. He cleared his schedule for me, made me comfortable, and talked to me the entire time to make sure I was okay. Not only that but he seamlessly blended the older tattoo into a much bigger one, really got into it and put in his personal style! He's definitely what you would call a tattoo ARTIST and was patient and accommodating the entire time (not to mention he's got a great sense of humor). My tattoo is beautiful now, everything went great and I am so excited. I can't wait for my next one!

I was visiting from Hawaii and my sis and I stopped here to get some matching tattoos...immediately Dave and John saw our vision and we were happily on our way. I went in today to get two earrings clamped that I could not clamp myself. It took the guy maybe 2 minutes to clamp them. I offered to tip him and all I had was a twenty dollar bill. I assumed that like most businesses they would have change for one. Well, the guy had $9 and honesty expected me to give him $11 for the 2 minutes he spent with me. Mind you I received no product or anything from them, they didn't even pierce my ears! I thought he was rude and greedy for expecting/accepting the $11. I WILL NOT be going back to True Tattoo again.

This is a review for piercing. Although I have checked out some of Shane's tattoo work in the flesh and he is a very talented man. I brought my 8 yr old to have her ears professionally pierced (as opposed to the generic mall or Claire's boutique gun "piercing"). Using a quality piercer to do the job is far more sanitary and you will get much better results as far as symmetry and precision. I highly recommend Dingo for body piercing. He was friendly, professional, and took his time to make sure he was doing it perfectly. My daughter felt totally comfortable, he made her feel like a total champ for not flinching. Afterward, on our way to the car she said "Wow mommy they are really nice guys!". Well worth the $50 plus tip.

If I had a complete blank canvas, I'd totally give him an idea and let him have full creative control on the piece/location. I did give shane creative control of my dragon back piece damn, it's pretty f*cking hot. :)Shannon Moore is the owner and is perfecting his ink skills. I hope to get a piece from him the next time I visit! He did a great job with the place and I will definitely be coming back here, no matter where I live. :)

The environment is perfect all they guys in the shop are great....loved being there in general!!!! Not to mention the work I Day done!!! I have had 90% of my tattoos done there and I have 10 total now...

I was visiting from Hawaii and my sis and I stopped here to get some matching tattoos...immediately Dave and John saw our vision and we were happily on our way. While there, I inquired about fixing a cover up of a cover up and loved Dave's vision (I've had this beast of a tattoo for 8 years) anyway came back to get it done and I'm more than happy!! I went in today to get two earrings clamped that I could not clamp myself. It took the guy maybe 2 minutes to clamp them. I offered to tip him and all I had was a twenty dollar bill. I assumed that like most businesses they would have change for one. Well, the guy had $9 and honesty expected me to give him $11 for the 2 minutes he spent with me. Mind you I received no product or anything from them, they didn't even pierce my ears! I thought he was rude and greedy for expecting/accepting the $11. I WILL NOT be going back to True Tattoo again.

This is a review for piercing. Although I have checked out some of Shane's tattoo work in the flesh and he is a very talented man. I brought my 8 yr old to have her ears professionally pierced (as opposed to the generic mall or Claire's boutique gun "piercing"). Using a quality piercer to do the job is far more sanitary and you will get much better results as far as symmetry and precision. I highly recommend Dingo for body piercing. He was friendly, professional, and took his time to make sure he was doing it perfectly. My daughter felt totally comfortable, he made her feel like a total champ for not flinching. Afterward, on our way to the car she said "Wow mommy they are really nice guys!". Well worth the $50 plus tip.

If I had a complete blank canvas, I'd totally give him an idea and let him have full creative control on the piece/location. I did give shane creative control of my dragon back piece damn, it's pretty f*cking hot. :)Shannon Moore is the owner and is perfecting his ink skills. I hope to get a piece from him the next time I visit! He did a great job with the place and I will definitely be coming back here, no matter where I live. :)
