Amanda is the most empathetic piercer you could ever wish for, and the most prolific freehand and tablet artist for tattoos. She gives the most realistic and pragmatic advice for new piercings. She also changed out jewelry on my prior piercings with amazing comfortable finesse. Great experience! I got my first tattoo today in celebration of my son's birthday. Everyone was welcoming from the moment I entered the shop. I didn't feel nervous for a single moment. Devan made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He gave me exactly what I asked for and it was not nearly as painful as I imagined it would be. He was hella gentle! I wished it was a bit smaller after it was filled in as the stencil he created was far more petite. But that's more so my "mistake". Overall, I am thrilled and pleased. I got my first tattoo done here and it was a great experience! It was on my ribs and a decent size so I was pretty nervous but they walked me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable. The guy was nice, I just don't understand how you can f*ck up two Xs. They were supposed to be symmetrical, and the stencil he used was way thinner than the blocky final product. Sucks to cover with a patch right after getting it done and then seeing how bad the job was done later when you take the patch off.  I'm getting it fixed- definitely going somewhere else.Don't believe me? This place is shitty . Take my word . I have literally over 30 tattoos and was going to try these guys for the first time since I moved to Raleigh . Came in Thursday got quoted a price agreed to it and said let's do it. Tattoo artist says he is a little busy and tomorrow would be better . So came back the next day that artist states he won't have time even tho the shop was open for another 6 hours and the other artist could get it but charge double the price now . I walked in very last minute(around 9:30ish) on a whim to get my cartilage pierced($30-not bad at all). Jimmy was so nice and helpful, he talked me through the whole thing and throughly explained how I should care for my piercing, and helped me to figure out what exactly I'm allergic to for earrings and guided me on what metals to buy/not buy. I've had the piercing for about 3 weeks(I waited to review to ensure that no infection or anything happened) with absolutely no problems! I was a walk in around 9:30 on a Saturday and everyone I met was just so ridiculously nice you couldn't help but stand around and talk! We stood there and talked for an hour before I even got my piercing!! I got an awesome quote on a tattoo and got my cartilage pierced(blanking on the guys name) and i'm always very nervous around needles but he talked me all the way through it and even helped explain how to handle my allergic reactions to certain metals and what to stay away from! I will definitely be going to see Victor for my tattoo and will come back here to get my next piercings once this one heals up. It looks a little sketch from the outside and very small but you walk in and it's way bigger and not sketchy at all! Just got two piercings Wednesday (AT THE GLENWOOD LOCATION). Wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. The only negative feedback I would give is that they need to do better on keeping supplies in stock. I had to wait a week for them to get the proper jewelry for my piercing. Then they didn't have any after care spray! I had to travel across town to the other location just to get it 😥. Damn! Anyway the piercer is great, helpful, and has integrity. Although I was a little annoyed waiting on the supplies, I'll choose waiting a million times over having a jacked up piercing. My daughter and I went to Rock N Roll Tattoo to get matching family trees. It was my first tattoo and James was great. He explained the process and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. In the last week I've been twice, to get my rook pierced & my nose. Jimmy was the piercer and I loved him, he was very easy going and kept me very calm through it all. Going to rock and roll was a kinda spur of the moment/last minute thing to get my rook pierced (I had been to warlocks previously to get both my tragus & cartilage, I don't recommend them... highly over priced) but I'm so happy I came to rock and roll, I'll never go anywhere else. I got a daith piercing, and the experience was awesome. I liked that they were honest about daith piercing (more than likely) not working for migraines right of the bat. I found it refreshingly honest, and I felt that they weren't all about my dollar. Jimmy was super friendly, talked through the procedure, and was very informative about aftercare. I had my tongue pierced at Warlocks. I would not recommend that tattoo place. They are over priced and both times I've been there they were extremely rude and unhelpful.Tonight I showed up at Rock N Roll at 10 pm. My tongue ring had fallen out and my tongue had closed in less than a hour. The piercer had to repierce the bottom half of my tongue. He was incredibly helpful. He didn't charge me anything to do this. He took the time to explain basic care, which is something the piercer at Warlocks did not do. In fact, he said he sent me an aftercare email... He did, but the entire message was blank. Regardless... I've been to Warlocks 2x, I would describe the atmosphere as clean, bright and very presentable. However, the employees are rude and very blatantly do not care.I've been to RNR once... It had a great atmosphere and the people there are incredibly helpful and kind. They don't act like you just asked them to donate a kidney when you ask them relevant questions. Basically I will never be going back to Warlocks and will be recommending RNR to everyone who asks.
