This review is intended to serve everyone, but in particular I wanted to highlight my experience getting a tattoo for the first time in case there are others out there who were a little nervous and not fully in-the-know, like me! I recently had my first tattoo completed by Robin and I have to say I could not be happier with her work! First of all, the shop atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and very clean. My initial consultation meeting with Robin was very informative and she took the time to educate me on the basics of tattoos as well as help me put the finishing touches on my idea. She is relaxed, but very professional, which made the experience truly great. She was very upfront with what to expect for the tattoo and the process itself and made herself available to me for any questions prior to getting the tattoo done. As a small side note, Robin also uses only vegan inks, which I really appreciate. Overall 5/5 stars, definitely recommend and will absolutely being going back in the future. Read Less

Back in August of 2016 Libby did an amazing job of a 3D butterfly on my foot. I have been to other parlors where the artist are arrogant and rude and love to make you wait for months to give them your money. That was not the case here. It took about 3 wks from first contact to my completed work and I enjoyed the whole experience. I have been and will continue to recommend Conspiracy Ink as THE place to have yourself inked. The girls were very friendly and their shop was very nice and cozy, had a nice atmosphere. I was hoping that Libby would be great and had a massive amount of ink I wanted done. We started with some simple things and I have to say that I am highly disappointed in what I saw in the sketches. It seemed as if very minimal effort was put into both of them, I asked for 3 very important elements. One of which was simply to make an octopis tentacle wrap around my arm instead of being awkwardly pointed upward like a cheesy sticker. From the looks of both sketches she did for me, I would say she definitely just traced the google image I sent her. If that's the kind of tattoo you want then I'm sure it would be executed fairly well. I was however under the impression they did custom tattoos. Unfortunately when I asked that she change a couple things, I was informed that I should find someone else to do the job. Recently moved down here to Raleigh and needed to find a new artist. After some looking I came across conspiracy ink and eventually made an appointment with Robin. Since then, I have gotten 2 tattoos and 3 piercings from her. She's been amazing through all of it. She actually gets excited about doing my pieces unlike my old artists. My friend and I took our 17 yr old daughters to Robin for their nose piercings 3 months ago. As we are pretty conservative, this was a big deal for us moms. The experience was really fun. We took pics and videos. Robin was fantastic in every way. The nose piercings healed perfectly, which was my main concern. It never turned red or showed any sign of it being a new piercing. I got an amazing tattoo from Robin! I met with her for the consultation with a general idea of what I wanted and some photos for reference and she created a custom design that was exactly what I wanted but couldn't draw myself! It incorporates designs from an existing tattoo with lacework and realistic flowers and is beautiful. Robin herself is just as awesome as her artistic abilities, I went with a friend and we both had so much fun talking to her and enjoying the experience, the time flew by. So, I was new in Raleigh and was told to go to Conspiracy Ink for tattoos. I met with Robin Ruin (not only is she an awesome artist, but an amazing mother, and now friend.) This place was recommended to me by a friend and after seeing a bunch of the work they did, I was really excited to get my watercolor tattoo. It is kind of an obscure quote from TKAM but I received no judgement. The tattoo turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I am so so happy with it! And it only took about 20 minutes! The communication beforehand was superb. I had originally made an appointment for 5 of us and then only 2 of us ended up going but it was not a problem for her. They are also incredibly reasonable on their pricing!I also freaked out a little because the words were all blurred together the next day and I emailed her frantically and and she reassured me that it was normal and to just put a warm wash cloth on it. Libby and Robin were incredibly accommodating, and for someone experiencing their first ever tattoo, I could not have asked for a more welcoming and informative session.  Every single detail about our tattooing and healing process was explained with care and detail.  We never felt confused or overwhelmed by this new experience.  The shop is bright, clean, and fun.  They took me and several of my friends on a few day's notice, and every single person left happy.  My best friend and I received free touch ups on our tattoos with no problem, as well.I definitely recommend Conspiracy!  My tattoo looks fantastic. Extremely disappointed ... Not to say the work isn't great but we wouldn't know! My husband and I went in and spoke with Robin regarding a couple tattoos we were interested in and it appeared there was a vision and a plan and we were told that the idea was understood. We paid the fee for the artist to do their draw up and were told we could be in by the end of the week to get started. 2 weeks goes by and finally I get my sketch and it was great but I had some feedback (which we were told to do so we could get exactly what we want) ... Over a month later and no reply or fixed sketch. Also over a month since first meeting my husband has yet to even get a sketch!! He got an email stating that she couldn't find anything about what we talked about (which was mid-evil theme knight and shining armor). He talked over the phone with the artist and has still yet to send any update or draft! Smh Read Less

Robin did a fantastic job re-piercing my nose in February.  It's healed way better than the initial piercing and the process was quick and painless.  She handled my ridiculous fear of seeing needles like the pro she is.  (I know, I know... Why get a piercing on your face if you hate needles so much?) Anyway.  Great service, really friendly staff, and you can't beat their location - right above the Flying Saucer!  There was also some cute handmade jewelry on sale at the register.  Bonus! After much research and reading reviews I decided on Conspiracy Ink to get both of my nipples pierced. Robin did a great job making me feel comfortable and answering any questions I had about the process and aftercare. They look great.
