When I arrived I was told they had double booked so I was passed off to another artist.On my part, I really should have just rescheduled or taken my business elsewhere because the tattoo I walked out of there with was pretty jacked. I got tattooed here about a month ago and was disappointed. I was able to walk in with my husband and get an artist right away which was great. They were inviting at the door and the shop was clean. But my artist jerad was noticeably not interested in doing the simple piece I wanted and seemed annoyed when I struck up conversation. The line work is not clean at all and it seemed like he was rushing it to get us out of there. The outline of my lettering literally looks like someone did it blind folded. The owner who tattooed me had a huge attitude problem and obviously was just looking for money didnt want me to give me the size of the tattoo that i wanted and didnt want to color it and it was very clear that it was because he didnt want to take the time to do it. Absolutely ruined my mood and made me want to leave immediately. The other staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful but as for the owner i highly recommend staying away from his ink. I recently got my fifth tattoo here by Ryan. By far not only the best tattoo I've gotten, but also the best experience. From the first day I walked in, everybody in the shop was very professional and personable. The shop itself is very clean and spacious, with a very laid back atmosphere. I had a consult with Ryan first and told him exactly what I wanted, and let me say, he did not disappoint. His work was very detailed, he was very informative about the after care and voiced that he "wanted me to have the best tattoo". Which, I believe I left there with. Within days I have had multiple people/strangers come up to me and comment or ask me where I had my tattoo done. I got my septum pierced here by Alden and at first everything was okay and great. When he finally showed up at the shop, hours after he was already supposed to be there, he seemed to be under the influence. The first night was horrible, the ring was to small so it could not swell. I tried calling the shop multiple times and they said it was fine and normal but I couldn't take the pain and went to another tattoo shop because the shop had closed. This shop could barely get the septum ring opened and couldnt remove it due to how close it was to my nose. This was the most painful thing I have ever felt. The piercing is so far up in my nose that I have to get my jewelry customized to fit. The healing process was not pleasant because the metal in which the jewlery was made out of irritated the piercing. I was given this metal even after I informed my piercer that most metals irritated my piercings. I had such a bad experience that I went to another piercer in Wilmington at Studio VII to help me find ways to heal my septum and do other piercings. I will never come back for a piercing. Read Less

This shop was recommended to me by the artist that did my thigh, Bart Andrews. He is in FL so I needed a local artist he trusted to do a full arm sleeve of "Alice in Wonderland" classic 1951 color scheme. In this town it's hard to find a clean shop, professional staff, and amazing artists. Jacksonville Tattoo Company IS that shop. I spent 18 hours with Jared while he worked on a full sleeve. I was recommended by a friend to go here to try to find a new artist since I moved. The vibe was awesome when walking in. Spacious work place, clean, sanitation wasn't even questioned by me. Plenty of work to look at in portfolios. They all helped anyone who walked in with a cheerful greeting to start and then went from there. The guys are very relaxed, good vibes, positive energy, and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. Juan did an absolute stunning job. We spent a few hours together as strangers and he was talkative, very focused to detail, and he made sure he was able to make exactly what I wanted. 110% He was quick, precise, and displayed such an amazing artistic talent.
