Literally had the BEST experience here! For it being my first tattoo, it was so easy and fun. Scott was patient, friendly, funny, and made sure the tattoo was everything I wanted before starting it! He also made sure I understood everything about the tattoo process and was constantly checking on me during the tattoo to make sure I was still doing good. The place was super clean and everything was super sanitary. These other reviews about the shop are complete bogus. Would highly recommend Scott to anyone and everyone looking to get a new tattoo! I don’t usually post things, But in light of recent news, I feel like this needs to be said. The place is trash. I got 1 tattoo here, I would never go back and would not recommend. They seem nice enough, but they display a lack of experience. My tattoo artist was very heavy handed. The tattoo that I got was clearly overworked and now has raised areas. (Thanks for that.)But there was no way in hell that I would have ever gone back for them to “fix” this. All in all just save your money. Or better yet, just go to artistic pursuit. They actually know what they are doing and would never be so immature as to play into a feud that they were having with an unsatisfied customer. Very unprofessional. And let’s be completely honest here... the lack of experience and professionalism really shows when you can’t even maturely handle an unsatisfied customer without putting the feud on blast on Facebook. The customer has every right to state their opinion, the business on the other hand should not be calling any unsatisfied customers a “troll infestation.” Just a sad scene. In response to the owner... Yes! It is very awesome that we share the same name!! Surprised that you noticed, seeing as how you can’t seem to see that your shop and attitude suck. As for your very generous “shop policy” offer to “fix” my work... I’m gonna have to take a hard pass on that one. I have been a previous customer of Devotion, and had no problems until I visited again with my best friend on March 30, 2018, because we were looking to get matching tattoos. She went first, and I was in the room with her as she was getting her tattoo. The artist's name was Kevin, and he was extremely rough on her leg with the tattoo machine. She was bleeding really badly, and was noticeably in a lot of pain. Kevin kept joking about how he had messed up tattoos before, and it made me kind of nervous for my friend. The end result of her tattoo was absolutely terrible... There was ink missing, and he even put the wrong color in her tattoo. It was supposed to be turquoise, not purple. I asked for purple in mine. I ended up getting my money back because the work was just terrible, and I did not want him to tattoo me. My friend was in tears, and was told that nothing was wrong with her tattoo. Scott, who was apparently "Kevin's boss," yelled at her and told her that her tattoo looked fine, and to "live with it." My friend was in pain for 2-3 days because her leg had swollen and bruised from how rough Kevin was on her. She could barely walk. I will update the pictures I upload as my tattoo heals and ages, but until then, I would like to warn anyone and everyone to STAY AWAY FROM DEVOTION! I was highly mistaken by their initial kindness, and left crying my eyes out. So here's my story. My best friend and I were looking to get matching tattoos, and we decided on a cute avocado on our leg because it was an inside joke of ours. The guys in the shop were really patient with us and incredibly friendly, so I felt very confident that they'd do a great job, and went first. The tattoo was supposed to be around 6 inches tall, and I paid $100 for it. I wasn't thinking, but they took my money BEFORE tattooing me. I don't think I've ever had a shop do this to me before, but this is how Devotion gets you with their "no refund" policy. So screw you if you absolutely despise the work they did to your body, that you'll have to live forever with. Anyways, I don't know any of the guys names that work here, nor did they give me a receipt. My tattoo took one hour, and that was the worst hour of my life. The bigger guy who did my tattoo was insanely rough and heavy handed on me. He messed my tattoo up in so many ways. First off, I asked for a turquoise background and my friend asked for purple. I look down, and there's purple on my leg. "Oops" is all he said. Not only was there purple, but it was NOT water color, it was just two purple blobs. The color in my tattoo was very scant, and I feel like when my tattoo heals, it's going to look even worse. Funny because the guy was bragging about how he accidentally messed up tattoos before. We made him add more of a "splatter" to my tattoo like it was supposed to be, and it looks a LITTLE better than it originally did, but it's just still so hideous. This guy didn't seem to care that I would be stuck with this terrible "artwork" on my leg for the rest of my life. My friend got her money back and didn't even get tattooed because my tattoo was so ugly. I expressed how much I hated it, and the artist got his boss. All three of us went back into the room, where the boss proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong with my tattoo and where they both kept shoving words into my mouth saying that I asked for purple, when I did not. It escalated to the point to where the BOSS started yelling at me! Yelling at a customer. It made me cry so hard. I just got sick of arguing my point, because they refused to fix it or refund me, and left mid argument letting the entire lobby full of people know how terrible these guys were before exiting. These guys are truly the biggest douche bags I've ever met, and I'm going to do everything I can within my power to make sure that their name is soiled forever. Now not only did I pay $100 to get something I hate, I am going to have to pay even more to get it covered up. A day later, my leg hurts like someone kicked me extremely hard, and I can barely walk. The area around my tattoo is bruised, and I'm in so much pain. I am pretty worried now, because I have 6 tattoos and have NEVER experienced pain like this! *I will be posting pictures as soon as possible.UPDATE**** I had two people in the room with me who told me that they did not see him open a new needle to tattoo me with. Went and got some work done from an artist named Will. He did an amazing job. I have several different tattoos from several different artists. I will only use Will now. He was awesome, and seemed like a great guy. The shop was clean and everyone there was great. I would strongly recommend devotion to anyone that wants some new ink. Read Less

I would give this place zero stars if that were an option. The man who did my piercing (I think his name was Will) was extremely rude and sarcastic toward me while I was filling out my information. He was impatient and charged me $30 to pierce my nose but on yelp it says it costs $20. I had my nose pierced before and it didnt hurt as bad as it did when he pierced it. He was rough with my nose. I went to Devotion Tattoo on March 28th to get my first tattoo. It was an Infant Loss Awareness ribbon in honor of my first three babies who died. I showed Eric the design, after he drew it out I went to check it against the design I had. I was told to put my phone down, that it was my tattoo, and I didn't need to look at the other. I wish I had not let me nerves get the best of me, and double checked anyways. My ribbon was done backwards, so it was not correct. I am left with a ribbon that serves no real purpose. I went to another tattoo shop, to get another tattoo, and was asked many times to make sure the design was what I wanted. I am extremely disappointed. Read Less

I left one star because there was not an option for zero. I have tried to buy and order items from this "piercing shop" and I have never been able to get a dam thing. I've even left my number at times. Seems as though my business was not needed?So here is the BEST part...I've had my ears gauged for yearsssss! I've gotten many, many compliments over the years on my piercings originally done at "Sadu" in Charlotte (my suggestion is go there, anywhere but here really). I attempted to give this place one more chance because, I live in the vicinity now. I go in to stretch up a size and an acrylic taper was used to stretch my ears, because of the lack of proper tools. I was also asked to participate in my own ear stretching. Yes, I repeat, I was asked to complete my own piercing, because the young lady could not finish once the taper was in my ear. I wasn't even offered gloves or a hand-wash. My ears were so f'ing angry and it is just now 3 or 4 months later, that I can even talk about it., After over 12 years of pretty healthy ears, mine are severely damaged. One ear doesn't hold a tunnel and has scarred tissue that I'm praying will heal. I tried to talk to someone there and they acted like their horrible mistake with my body was a bother. I have been researching how to report the situation and these practices to the appropriate agency and/or organization. When I get time I will be writing the BBB and Consumer affairs where applicable.No one should have their body torn up and then be treated like the whole ordeal is of little importance.  HEED MY WARNING....DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TRUST THIS "SHOP" WITH YOUR BODY!!!
