I've been getting tattoos while I travel for a few years now. I can honestly say that yelp helps me find the heartbeat of quality shops in every new city I visit. Heritage Tattoo Company has a friendly staff, as I was greeted by a friendly face as soon as I walked in the door. As a walk in on a Friday afternoon I knew from calling earlier in the day that I may have to wait while Kevin finished with a client. Turned out that he was done when I got there and just had to do a quick piercing while I waited.  Once it was my turn Kevin took some time to mock up the Nautical Star Compass I wanted, all while everyone was laughing and having a good time.It was a simple black scale tattoo and only took about 45 minutes to complete. Came in when the ball fell off my auricle piercing, and I was on my way home. Ended up charging me $20 for new jewelry and setup, which I thought was a bit much, especially since they are cash-only and I had to use their ATM (which means I really spent close to $30). I don't know why I can't comment in the comments. They do amazing work, with only a few tiny line mishaps on my wrists. I went in a second time requesting they do a tattoo behind my ear, and the manager refused, citing that it would fade fast. She also refused to do a tattoo on my hand citing that I wouldn't be able to get a job. I don't work, I am disabled, so it really made no sense to me. A couple months after I met a lady with a four leaf clover behind her ear, and I aske...d who did it. Suprise! The same lady who refused to do mine. I believe her name was Angel. I am not sure I will come back, I am hesitant to come back if I am going to be turned away due to the tattoo artists opinion of what should go on my body & where, when it should only be my opinion that counts, I am a customer not a child. It would also be nice if I could comment on your posts. I wouldn't have written this in a review if that was possible. I am also very upset (although understand) that they did away with Friday the 13 $20 tattoos. As of right now, I do not know if I am welcome in this tattoo shop to get the tattoos I want. Clean shop. Personable staff! It was my first tattoo and Neal did a great job of listening and designing something I love! My daughter had her tragus pierced and my niece got her nose pierced. Very clean and talented staff. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!! Read Less

I have many wonderful pieces from this amazing shop full of amazing, yet slightly odd artists. I would never dream of visiting another shop. Out of all the shops and artists I've met and dealt with these guys truly aren't so much artists as they are friends you have yet to meet.
