My husband gave me a tattoo for Mother's Day. I had an appointment some where else. We saw our neighbors tattoos and ask where she went. She said CustomTattoo in Havelock. I was in town for the weekend and had been searching for a place that I felt comfortable going and that had time to do the tattoo I wanted. I called Henry at custom and he was down to do it and I felt he was genuinely interested in the piece I wanted and making it work for me. I gave him a picture, he added to it, sketched it up and had it on my hand looking better than I could have imagined. I can't thank him enough for taking the time to help me out this weekend and I enjoyed my experience more here than anywhere I've been. I came in to see Henry. I had an appointment June 2nd at 1pm. He had found me the most beautiful design. He drew it up and we were on it. It is something very dear to me. They dont try to buy customers..they just take care of them and all of their work and customers word do the advertising. I came here with my boyfriend to get matching tattoos. We both got one on each ankle. I went first and it took 30 min, which was fine. (His took 5 minutes). However he DUG so deep into my right ankle it killed. (Mind you I'm tattooed everywhere). I didn't think much of it. Two weeks later, my left (and both of his) are perfectly fine. The ankle of mine he dug into is infected and scarring so bad. It will definitely fade as well. I am very disappointed. He supposably has a "light hand" but I know now that is far from the truth. Great place to go if you're looking for quality work. Very friendly staff and very funny guys Geoff and Henry are great artists. They got my two friend's first tattoos done very well and quick with quality work and even did great on finishing my arm. I loved it. I was furious and we were left stranded at 9 p.m. With no tattoo and nowhere to go. We walked into this little studio nervous, and without much knowledge of the artwork this place represented. We talked to Henry who was the artist present at the time. We told him our situation and talked in detail about what we were looking for. The next th...ing I know, I'm getting one of the best looking tattoos I've ever seen and we made new friends in the process. The talent that Henry from the Custom Tattoo Co. has is beyond amazing and I plan on making the 6 hour drive again just to have him do all other tattoos I might want. He and his wife became instant friends and you know??!!! He stayed until 3:30 in the morning to finish the job. To me, that is the true definition of a great artist.
