Gene owns the shop, and Jason is my dude. They are literally two of the coolest dudes around. Jason and Gene actually understand the art, not just wanting to throw something on your body. They will do what you want, but they have an eye for it. They are excellent with color and depth. They aren't heavy-handed, but they will do what they need to do to float the ink in the right area of your skin. I have a gorgeous, fully-colored sleeve, done by Jason Harris. It is 6, almost 7 years old, and it has literally barely faded. I gave Jason a picture I had drawn, and he put his incredible spin on it. I love this shop so so much. My tattoo artist is Jessica and I love her linework. She just gave me an amazing tattoo of a water nymph. I ended up spending most of the time I was getting tattooed staring at all the drawings for other pieces she is working on and wishing I could have them. Their piercer is also fantastic. Her name is Mackie and she really know what she's doing. I've been pierced by her before and I plan to always go to her for my piercings. Bobby our artist was cool and he did a great job on my sons first tattoo. The other staff didn't have much personality..but hey, its a tattoo shop and not a car dealership.. The staff was very professional and nice. Bobby did my tattoo. He was very nice and professional, however, my tattoo turned out poorly. It is not symmetrical, he colored outside of the outline of the tattoo in two spots, and the mistakes are very noticeable. I'm very disappointed and ashamed to show it to people. On the day I was scheduled to get my tattoo I called to see if they could pierce my ear where I thought it had grown over and Mackie was able to get it all fixed up with a better fitting hoop than I had before and on the spur of the moment I decided I wanted to change out my rook for something more noticeable and she did that as well. Then I went to get my tattoo done by Jess and I told h...er I was nervous since it was my first time and she took good care of me. She did a small line at first to show me how it felt before she started in on the rest of the tattoo which wasn't nearly as painful as I thought and she checked on me multiple times during the session to make sure I was still doing OK. They are very hygienic there which wasn't something I considered much before going because I was more concerned about getting my first tattoo but I was glad to see they take so many precautions to keep things sterile. I was driving home to Durham and decided to stop by the shop and buy a new nose stud (Neometal) They have Neometal, Anatometal, BVLA and others.  It was small, but a nice selection. I got a 1.5 cm bezel set CZ and they (I think it was Mackie)  anodized it in shop.  It was low-pressure and a nice atmosphere.  I'll  definitely  go back. Read Less

This was my first tattoo since moving to North Carolina and I am thrilled that it only took seeing one artist to find my new go to tattoo artist! I saw Paula for a small coverup. The space on my arm was not much for her to work with and I didn't think she'd be able to pull it off without covering another tattoo I have super close to the one I wanted covered but man did she! I got my first tattoo here over the weekend from Paul Enscore. She took great time and care to make sure that I was perfectly happy with the design, shape, size, color, etc. She was also very patient with me while we were placing the tattoo stencil. I have also gotten a piercing done from Mackie. That was over two years ago, and I can only imagine she has become more talented since then. I would most definitely recommend this shop. Read Less

As of today, I have gotten two tattoos by Zach and I have three in total. When I got the very first one (not by Zach), I realized how negative an experience my first tattoo had been. Even though I got my tattoo by Zach on supposedly the most painful place on my body (feet), it didn't hurt nearly as much as my first, nor did it bleed or hurt afterward. My new tattoo looks even more attractive than I had hoped for and I love it! I don't plan on getting tattooed by anyone other than Josh, he made it so comfortable and the artwork is gorgeous! This shop is by far the best in town. The prices were drastically lower than anywhere else I went to. I got a tattoo on the whole left side of my back that took 11 hours to complete not including the time it took the artist to completely design and draw the idea I had, and it only cost $500. Compare that to every other shop in the area that wanted anywhere from $80 to $120 AN HOUR. Yeah, that's an average of $1000 anywhere else. Also, they have hi-def lcd tvs hanging on the walls in every tattoo room to keep your mind busy while you are getting that new tattoo. Everything in this place is very clean and everyone is very professional. So, if you are looking for a tattoo I definitely recommend Seven Sagas Tattoo. Also, I'm not sure if the person below me is talking about the same person, but the Jason that works at Seven Sagas is definitely one of the best and most professional artists in town. Read Less

When asked to hold on in the middle of his work to check something (I mean really it's there for life, right?) he got an attitude and responded " you can see it when i am finished".
