I searched for months for the best permanent make up clinic to get my eyeliner done and I finally settled on Samira because of her years of experience and her impressive photos on her website. I am only 18 and I wanted a VERY natural VERY specific look. Samira worked with me to create exactly what I wanted and it honestly came out even better than I had hoped. She had students observing the procedure during my first appointment and both were very sweet (one even held my hand the whole time). During my second appointment for some unknown reason I was having issues tolerating the tattooing and Samira helped me do breathing exercises the whole time to get through it. You study with her as an apprentice in her shop, so you really get to learn first hand the day to day dealings of the business. In the 80's, Samaira used to cut and style my hair. It was wonderful what she could do with a pair of scissors. After life changes, I just slipped from her services. About five years ago, I saw a sign on Battleground stating she did permanent make-up. So, I took the plunge and had both my upper and lower eyeliner done, as well as lip liner. I'm so much more confident in my appearance now than I was back then. My heavy looking eyes now look brighter with definition. In pictures, you can see them. And, because of shaking hands and oily skin, I never got eyeliner on straight, nor did it last for more than an hour. Now, for the lips. My lips were very thin and did not have that sexy shape that so many have naturally. So, she enlarged my lips slightly, and gave them shape, and a little color. They're very natural looking. Unless I tell someone that I've had the permanent make-up done, they don't know it. Most people still don't believe me, and want to see the before pictures, even friends of old. They aren't sure if I lost weight, or what, just that my face looks nicer. The first few days after each procedure, especially the lips, you don't look pretty and don't want to be seen in public. Everyone kept asking if my lips were sore, and I said no, but they didn't believe me. Five years out, I would do it again, and do recommend it to anyone that is remotely interested. At this point, it still looks good, but, it's also at the point where it needs a darkening touch up, just as any tattoo would. As I have aged it has become increasingly difficult to apply my eyeliner. The eyelid is less taunt and due to farsightedness, I can't see as well for the application, even with a magnifier. I was very frustrated and began to consider permanent eyeliner but I was such a WHIMP! Samira eased those concerns. She gave me the names of 3 previous clients.
