So yesterday I went to get my daith pierced. I walked in the shop, never even been there, and was greeted very rudely by a woman up from asking me what I want. She kept walking off and talking to people, and left me standing there. When it came time to pick out the jewelry I wanted, she didn't explain anything or say a word at all, she just walked over, grabbed a case of rings out, and pointed with a pen at some rings. I had no clue she was even talking to me. I asked her for... suggestions since I have never had a cartilage piercing, and she just put the rings up and walked over to a cabinet where she chose one for me. She then said "ready? Come on" and led me to the room. I had no clue this entire time this lady was going to pierce me. She didn't give me her name, she didn't say a word. Barely spoke to me. Very rude. I sat in the chair and told her what side and she told me to tilt my head. That was the only instruction she gave me, and got rude when my head wasn't in the right position. She pierced my ear and was using some bad force to get the horseshoe in, which was immediately a bad sign for me. She then got rude when she pushed my head and it moved (duh). She finally got the horseshoe in and didn't say a word. I asked if it's done and she said yeah. That was all. I didn't get care instructions, any directions on when I can change it, or anything. She didn't say another word to me, so I asked. She acted like it killed her to answer my TWO questions. I asked what to do to clean it, which she responded "soap and water" without specifying if I need to use wound soap, or if it's safe to just use antibacterial or antimicrobial soap, and then I asked when can I change it and she said "6 months". That was all she said to me. I left and my ear bled all day and night, into today. My whole ear was burning and now the whole side of my face is hurting. I knew something was wrong. The ring seemed way bigger than I wanted it and I didn't like how it looked being so big. I couldn't even get a qtip between my ear and the ring to clean the hole. So today I stopped into Smoore's in Dallas, and talked to a gentleman there who has his done, and explained the situation. He immediately told me that they put a lip ring in my daith and it's way bigger than my ear, and ear canal, therefore it's causing severe pressure. He was also shocked to see how much blood was coming from the piercing. He informed me that he's all the time fixing Ink Links mistakes. Thankfully they are going to fix Ink Links mistake for me, and I WILL NOT EVER be back to Ink Link. The most unprofessional staff I've ever met, and to mess up a piercing to where it's causing someone that bad of pain is ridiculous. Even I knew the piercing wasn't done with the right ring. I will be sure to let EVERYONE know of my experience. Ink Link will definitely not be getting any referrals from me. See More Read Less
