It’s an alright shop. They do have some really talented artists though. I got a quote on a tattoo, went to get it, and it was higher in price. Wasn’t too expensive though. It was also my first tattoo, told my artist, and he didn’t give much in aftercare instructions. He also didn’t give any product to apply to it, but I’m not sure if the shop does. I don’t think he’s there any more though. However, I did my own research before getting the tattoo, so I knew what to do to take care of it and also purchased a tube of H2Ocean online. Amazing establishment. I have gotten a helix piercing (from Jasper) which I bled a lot on and given me a few issues in the beginning. I have since gotten a conch, tragus, and second lobe piercing done by Nick, which I have had the most wonderful experience with. Each piercing went by quickly and almost painlessly. Sad part is I used to think so highly of this shop. Sent everyone who asked me about getting ink to this place. My first ever tat came from this store so because of that I rate it 3 stars. In my recent experience the artists were so rude, like isn't all money made good money? Apparently not. I tip my artist in cash and never ask a price, I simply ask for perfection... from customer service to the care they take in putting a permanent picture on my body I expect excellence. This is a very customer service oriented place with very high quality tattoo work to offer. I have a good portion of my body covered in tattoos and I know that "you get what you pay for." It is clear that this place is a business that will provide its customers with the highest quality product in the area. They are not a cheap tattoo shop. I mean this in a good way. Their prices were more than fair, considering the stellar work I received. Additionally, their website is pretty thorough. I am new to the area and took my time doing my homework on the local tattoo shops- reading reviews, checking out the websites, etc. Evolution Ink yielded much positive feedback from their customer reviews. As I scrolled through each of their employee's portfolios online, I was able to find who I thought would be the best fit for my desired work. The shop is very accommodating. They have greeters whom I witnessed, with great patience, assist customers that were unfamiliar with the tattoo process. I think this is important because I've routinely seen other shops intimidate their new customers or scoff at the stupid questions they have. Evolution Ink was very accommodating to their customers and walked these newcomers through the process. If you are reading this, you are probably a potential customer. I highly recommend you take your time and do your homework when it comes to tattoo work; it will last forever. If you are looking for the cheapest tattoo shop in town, I assure you that your tattoo will look as such- a cheap piece of garbage. Don't be impulsive; be patient. Get your work done right by going to this place. The artist that did my work was Angel. She was extremely friendly, professional, had a clean work space, and, most importantly, did a fantastic job. I would give this place zero stars if it was possible. I scheduled my appointment ahead of time. They said "artist" was the best for the snake tattoo i had selected. He was not prepared when I showed up a week later. The sketch he did was so botched. He however did fixed the sketch. I enjoyed the sketch but when he tattooed it on me it turned out awful. the scales looked like a two year old could draw them. they were squiggle lines that was not in the original we discussed. the artist was also under the influence of something. I don't recommend this place at all. they do not care about the quality of the work they put out and are just in it for a profit. It should be about profit and quality of work. do not go here. What an AMAZING artist Moochie is. I went there a while back to get my first tattoo with a friend and we didn't know anybody since it was our first time actually going into the shop. After waiting about 30-35 mins, one of the receptionist ladies assigned us to Moochie and it was the best decision ever. I was so happy with the outcome. I wish I could give Evolution zero stars. I wonder if you guys buy your reviews the same way you buy votes for contests to promote the company. I have heard countless horror stories about doing business with this place and also had a bad experience myself. Long story short, I made an appointment for my birthday & put down a $50 deposit. I came back on my birthday and the individual who made my appt says "Oh, I put your appointment on the wrong day, sorry," in the most nonchal...ant manner possible. She then tells me my artist is booked for the remainder of the evening, so I kindly asked for my deposit back bc I wanted to get a tattoo ON my birthday, hence the appointment. She adamantly refused to return my $50 as it was "non refundable," despite openly acknowledging the error being completely her fault. Received a septum piercing by their piercer, Jasper, today. Finding the place was easy and I loved the inside. The customer service was good, but I asked to have my payment split on 2 cards. After checking my accounts later, I realized she had charged only one of my cards...twice. Jasper was friendly, but not overly so. He didn't carry much of a conversation, but was polite and answered all of my questions. The piercing itself was quick, virtually painless, and looks great!! I have a scar on the inside of my forearm that I really wanted to cover. It was a reminder of a difficult time in my life. They did a great job on my piercing, tattoo and my moms tattoo even. Went back recently with a friend and the artist was a jerk. He messed up an old English S and tried to blame on my friends chest being uneven? Not really even sure what that means, but okay then. Sort of have the attitude here that they are the only show in town. Never personally understood why the old lady walks around hovering over customers actively getting ink. Ive been going to evolution ink for a few years now and ive always loved the service the entire staff provides. It's clean and friendly and the work they do is worth every penny you spend. And Jasper worked amazingly well with my 3 year old when she got her ears pierced, he talked to her and made her feel comfortable and he got the job done without a single fuss or cry out of my little girl and he made sure the work environment was completely sanitized before he was willing to do her piercings. Got my first tattoo today today and it was great. Terri was super welcoming and helpful, and George did an awesome job. I was really nervous about it, so it helped that my friends could be with me while I was getting it.I especially liked how clean, bright, and sharp looking the place is. Sounds weird, but I've seen people get tattoos at dull places that gave you a dark feeling. Evolution Ink has a nice big waiting area with computers to help you chose exactly what you want. They were honest about times and kept me updated. The shop was very clean and family friendly. I'd like to first start of by saying my artist was GREAT, no complaints there. My complaint goes straight to the B manager. I got my tattoo done in February. I came in the morning before work, picked my design and even paid a $50 deposit to come back later that night after I got off work at 5 to get the tattoo done. I arrive 10 mins before my appointment to see the look on my artist's face that this conversation was about to tick me off. The owner of the shop had decided that the wife of a sheriff in town was more important than myself. The woman was a walk in to the shop and the owner wanted to give her VIP treatment. So I had to come back to the shop 4 hours later to get my tattoo done. Sure they gave me free aftercare and $20 off my $350 tattoo but I'm sorry that does NOT fix unprofessionalism. I will NEVER go back to this shop and you can best believe I will tell every person I encounter to seek elsewhere when the owner basically said F you to my paid appointment to take a walk in. I went with my daughter to get tattoos and was expecting to wait a long time since it was a Friday afternoon, but when we walked in we were greeted immediately by the staff. We were introduced to Alex and she took our ideas, added her flavor to it and the final result are EXCELLENT tattoos. The price was fair, the shop is very clean and very cool. I felt like I was in one of those fancy shops I see on TV all the time. Alex is definitely an outstanding artist. I had a tattoo at Evolution Ink over a couple of weeks and it was a great experence. The artist (Kenny) did an outstanding tattoo, was great to work with, I enjoyed our conversations, and the staff was outstanding. Yes, it was a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. I don't go for a screwed up jail house tat.. If I'm getting ink'ed, I want it done right, and Kenny did it perfect. The other artists stepped in and offered suggestions, and the whole experence was great. I've had work done all over the country, and this is the best tattoo and experence I've ever had. Had you rather get a tattoo in a sleezy shop for less money? Not me. Getting a tattoo at Evolution is more that just walking in a tattoo parlor and getting Ink'ed. It is the whole experence. Whoever posted the above review is totally wrong about Bill Brown and Evolution Ink. This is by far the best shop in Fayetteville and surrounding areas. The artists do excellent work, and really pay attention to make sure the customer's are getting exactly what they want. I have gotten several tattoos at this shop, and even the counter people are very friendly and helpful. The shop is definately the cleanist in the area, and by far the nicest. To be honest, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Evolution Ink, you have ALL my business and the business of my friends. And as far as what the previous reviewer said about soldiers, that's false as well. Seriously, my wife and I and some of my buddies went in there a while back and the staff directed to me to a tattoo artist, can't remember his name but he seemed bothered by the fact that we had questions and wanted help. Actually the first question out of his dirty mouth was an annoyed "Well what do you want " and he said it with one HELL of an attitude, he was such a damn a$$hole, we were treated like we were doing them a favor to go in there with our hard earned money, when there are tons of other tattoo shops.
