I went to skin city a few months ago to get a tattoo. Went to a few other shops in Durham (one that I had got another tattoo from) and they wouldn't do it because it was 6.. on a Friday?? I was visiting Durham and promised my boyfriend's daughters that we would get pierced before I went home. Had made arrangements with the piercer ahead of time. Went in to get it done and was told there was no piercer tonight. Now I have two very disappointed girls and no contact with the piercer. Unfortunately there isn't many piercing places in Durham to go to. And yes, we did contact the shop directly. If you look at your Facebook messages, you knew we were coming in tonight. The color and designs added to my orginial tattoo is now 1000x better because of his awesome artistic talent and ideas. My husband and I went there today and both got tattoos. We have only went to one person before and have been refusing to go to anyone but him. Im so glad we went there and chose to venture out!! Skin City Body Art does Excellent work! It is very clean with a relaxed atmosphere. The waiting area is comfortable and has a large TV. My artist, Debi, was very friendly and professional. She loves what she does, and it shows. She did my Irish family crest which was quite intricate and ornate, and it surpassed my expectations. I plan to go back again soon. AWESOME. I love these guys. the staff is really helpful and it's probably the cleanest shop in Durham. I've been in a bunch of places first and this one by far made me feel the most comfortable. Everyone was really friendly and they're all licensed etc. Their work is gorgeous, you just have to look on the walls to see that. I was really happy with what I got done. All their work is custom so no one else will have your tattoo which I think makes it so much more special. I've never gotten a piercing but I would absolutely trust them to do it since they did such a great job on my tattoo. Read Less
