I went there to get my first tattoo on Wednesday by Josh and it turned out better than I could have imagined, he was very thorough and worked with me to make it exactly how i wanted it... and thankfully while I was there Jason helped to fix a piercing that I got done at another shop where they did it completely wrong. Jason was very helpful in explaining everything to me so I knew what was going on and what went wrong with my piercings as well. Took my daughter in today to get her belly button pierced and Jason was very professional about everything! Explained the piercing procedure to her and explained the after care clearly to the both of us. The jewelry he uses is fantastic and his sanitation procedures are on point! Award winning artist Josh Jernigan has been tattooing around the country and stacking trophies for 12+ years. Chris Kelley is also fantastic. As a fully-sleeved fan of American traditional, I stumbled across Josh's portfolio online shortly after moving to the area. My appropriate response to his skill level was, "This f***ing guy is seriously in Dunn?!" It's just the caliber of work you typically only see in big shops, in big cities. Just take my money. If you live in the area, or even within easy driving distance, count your lucky stars that people with this much talent have local roots. Top tier talent at very reasonable Dunn prices, from some of the sweetest, most skilled and humble artists you'll meet easily. You'll need a $40 deposit at booking and be prepared to wait 3 months. It's worth it if you want clean, top-quality art made to stick for 50 years, at incredibly reasonable prices. I got my first tattoo yesterday. The shop is very clean. Josh and Chris are very friendly, helpful and professional. I had sent an image ahead of time but knew I wanted I a little different. Chris seemed to read my mind as to what I had pictured. I absolutely love it. Chris did everything to make me comfortable with it being my first tattoo. They are artists first and businessmen second. What does that mean for you? It means that they will go above and beyond to make sure what is going to be permanently on you will look amazing forever. Their style...is unique. It encompasses anything you can think of from American traditional to water color to graffiti. The studio is the cleanest I've seen in North Carolina and they use the highest quality inks and equipment.
