I took two of my daughters (ages 6 and 8) to get their ears pierced a Krazy Kats today and can't say enough good things. Have to admit I was a little nervous taking my kids to a tattoo/piercing place, but that was totally unfounded. Their facility feels more like a day spa! Really comfortable and so nicely appointed.Tee was fantastic with my girls. Really calm and patient. She had a great selection of earrings to choose from, and everyone left happy. She asked us to come back in a month for a check-up and will also take the studs out once they're ready to be removed.After a bad experience at Claire's, we were happy to pay the higher price (it's expensive). I love Tee! She has been piercing my ears for some time now and she is always helpful on healing and jewelry choices. I can come up with some crazy ideas for my ears and she is very good at where to place the piercing for the best healing and outcome. I recently got my flat/helix pierced and we did a bunch of dots to find the right spot and she walked me through the breathing as always. She's the best in Charlotte! I had my very first tattoo. Jim said it couldn't be done in detail due to the size of my arm (which every artist has proven wrong since, more room equals more detail), but I went with the animation he pushed on me. I had social anxiety so I couldn't say no, not to someone I expected to know better. Well, merely years later it looks like a kindergarten drawing and they replied saying it was my fault. I highly recommend any other, actual award winning parlor in Charlotte. Don't forget it is by the hour, and he took smoke breaks while neglecting to pause the expensive timer. Never go where it's paid by the hour unless you already trust them. Smoking often, sometimes no gloves, it was a hazard. Granted, this was 2013, but it still shines light on how they thought they could operate. Yes, no gloves (sometimes). I had far too much anxiety to say something. With him as a professional, I'd imagine he wouldn't risk infecting me. The business proved otherwise. I highly do not recommend, or as long as Jim does the work, I dont. Especially when it's 50/50 that he wears gloves or uses your money to use his vape/cigarettes. Poor art with too much money. OSHA violations and no absolute care it seems. Displacing the blame on me, as if I'm the artist. How professional. The only place I'd ever recommended by the hour is Paris Tattoos. They work and work so hard every minute when on the clock, I trust them. Never again with Kats, especially after just blaming me for bad art. Read Less

Went to Krazy Kats for a few ear piercings this weekend and it was great. The studio is in a residential area and doesn't immediately strike you as a tattoo and piercing parlor, but inside it definitely fits the bill. Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful and talked us through the piercing options and procedures extensively. They pay a lot of attention to detail and ensuring you're comfortable. Prices were very reasonable and they had a good selection of jewelry to choose from. We just did walk in appointments and they were more than happy to take us with no wait time! Read Less

Do not go here. The last time I went, the piercer yanked on my piercing so hard that it bled and caused a stress bump. (Not a new piercing by the way.) I tried following the piercer's directions to keep it clean/heal it, but finally had to go to the doctor to get it seen and they had to prescribe an ointment for it. Very disappointed! Read Less

First off I want to say that the outside of this place looks a little rundown, but the inside is clean and professional and even homey. I went in yesterday to get my helix jewelry changed out. Tee was incredibly friendly and patient as I'd had a bad experience with a piercer before who said my piercing was healed enough for a hoop when it wasn't and I had MONTHS of irritation and excessive lymph and swelling. Granted I waited a really long time to mess with it at all like over a year so my piercing is fully healed now. Even so she was gentle with my ear and took a lot of time helping me pick out the size and gauge of my jewelry. I couldn't have been happier. I got more undivided attention here than I did at SADU, and if you're on the fence between the two I'd pick this one. Highly recommend! Read Less

Got my nose pierced here about four years ago. I had a great experience! Loved it! It was at their old building, which was really nice. I moved away from Charlotte just after that and recently came back to town and tried to stop by to get another piece of jewelry for my piercing (I lost the one I was pierced with and wanted the same thing cause I loved it so much). They moved to a new building and this one is super hard to find. I had to turn around a couple times before I finally found it. They had two signs that said they were open but the door was locked and I knocked and no one ever came to the door. So I left. Pretty disappointed. Not sure why they moved to this new location, but seems like it's not doing them any favors. The old place was really easy to find and access. This place is smaller and harder to find. Read Less

I took my 6 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced after doing a lot of research. We couldn't be happier with the results. Tee was absolutely amazing! She was so caring, gentle, and kind. She reassured my daughter several times through the process. She was quick and efficient when it came to the piercings. She explained the healing process and gave some great tips. I went there for my first cartilage piercing and Tee was incredibly professional and helpful! I originally wanted an industrial piercing and she honestly told me it would be strange for my ear shape since it wasn't curved enough at the top. I then decided to get a helix. The flat back body jewelry is awesome for kids, and I was able to purchase different jewels so she could change out her earrings without changing the studs. I love my tragus piercing!I came here on my birthday (they do a small discount- yay!). I had high hopes of getting a forward double helix but unfortunately Tee reported that my ear shape would not hold a piecing in that spot. Tee explained what the heck that meant thoroughly so I could understand instead of breaking my heart and dropping me like a fly.After looking through the portfolio, I settled on my tragus. This was a drive from my home so I was not leaving without a piercing!Tee explained the process thoroughly and helped ease my mind. They have some pricey but beautiful jewelry. She helped ease me through the piercing process. I'm a big baby and I at times cry just getting my finger pricked so this was HUGE for me. Tee offers a free check-up after her piercings which makes me appreciate how she stands by her work. I took off a star due to the parking lot. It's awkward in shape (I am unfortunately a stereotypical female driver so parking was a little rough for me) and there's a huge dip once you enter with no notice. Krazy Kats is the best place bar none to get piercings in Charlotte. Not only they carry the most quality jewelries, they also pierce you with sterile gloves. I don't know of any other places that offer that. They recommend 30 days check up and even call you to remind it. If you are looking for a place to get pierced..look no further..for real. Krazy Kats is by far the best shop I have been into. Tee the piercer is the BEST! She knows the real deal behind piercings and healing them well and she is so super duper friendly. You see I get piercings (I've had a lot of them) not just to end up with jewelry stuck through my skin, but for the experience of the piercing itself, the jewelry left over is just an awesome bonus. I would rate this experience as my top experience. The folks here are great and very very customer-oriented. My friends recommended me when I was looking around for a great (not just good) tattoo artist, because I am badly in need of a cover-up; you know, the kind you got when you first turned 18 and didn't know any better. I went in, had a consultation, book the appointment and came in one week later to have the session. I'm sure you've heard it before but I was indeed very nervous (it's probably been a good ten years since my last tattoo); but Jim-the tattoo artist- was absolutely charming and very gentle you wouldn't believe it just by looking at him ..lol.. We read some reviews and was sent here by a friend who got his first tattoo here a few months ago (it still look just as good as new). My friends and I went to Krazy Kats to get our dermal piercings and they don't hurt at all (okay maybe just a little bit) and those piercings are just absolutely adorable. Many of my friends recommended Jim at Krazy Kats for my own 35th birthday present. Being a VERY cautious person working in the hospital, I checked out their website, emailing the shop a few times, which they always replied promptly and courteously, even came in to check upon the cleanliness of the place (Had no complain there!) Jim was this big burly biker guy, and he was so easy to talk to, plus I really enjoyed his taste in music.
