Beware of scamming: ALWAYS CHECK ARTIST'S PHYSICAL PORTFOLIOS BEFORE COMMITTING TO A TATTOO OR PUTTING DOWN A DOWN PAYMENT. Never leave any artwork in this shop, the owner has been known to steal from other artists & destroy their personal property. This place can have some reasonable deals sometimes, but honestly the only good time to go for piercings is when they do a blood drive. You usually receive a discount for donating blood and can come back to redeem it after your recovery period. Trust me when I say you're very limited on what piercings and jewelry you get for those vouchers. Follow them on Facebook to find out when deals are available. Starter piercing jewelry should never have plastic, or acrylic pieces, those are only intended for fully healed piercings. Jewelry should always be auto-clave safe. (for individual sterilization) please make sure you understand what you should look for before you get any body modifications. The H2Ocean aftercare they provide for tattooing is not for everyone, (I think H2Ocean's products are amazing) For piercings there are spray and soaps, and they also sell mouth rinses, and their tattoo soaps are excellent as well. However, (This is from personal experience and the experiences of my customers) if you have very dry skin it is often better to use a non-petroliate aftercare, (do some research before getting you tattoos) Something aloe based often works best for me. I did not add any personal opinions on Sunshine's work, because I never got any tattoos from her. Sunshine and Iron Ink are both wonderful. I came to know Sunshine when I was in the 3rd grade and told her I wanted pink hair like she had. Luckily I had awesome parents who bought the dye from her and I got my picture put in one of her books! I promised her on that day that I would come to her for my first tattoo. When I turned 16, I started going to Iron Ink to get my piercings. I have gauges, my nose, my lip, an industrial bar, my conch, and my tragus. All were done great and I never had any issues with any of them. When I turned 18, Sunshine herself did my first tattoo like we had promised. I have never been more in love with any tattoo than I was with this one. She gave me exactly what I wanted and gave me her 100%. I’m 25 now and the tattoo still looks as beautiful as it did that day! More recently, I had an awful tattoo on my forearm and I went to Sunshine to try and get it fixed. She turned it into something beautiful and I regretted not just going to her first. Sunshine does amazing things for her community to try and protect people from improper use of tattoo machines and home piercings. She is always extremely friendly and will do everything she can to give you what you are looking for. I would recommend her 120% to anyone looking for tattoos or piercings! Read Less

Have been going to Sunshine since I was in high school and I am now 28. I have gotten several piercings from her and she has done many tattoos. She is an absolutely wonderful person. I walked in to make an appointment and what I was most impressed by was the fact that the owner, Sunshine, was in there herself and as soon as I walked in and mentioned speaking about a tattoo, she discussed it with me, looked what I needed covered, and had me an appointment the very next day! She took the time to really show she cares about her customers! She is a very compassionate tattooer and she is not heavy handed at all! She made sure I was comfortable throughout the hours I was in the chair. She is also a very interesting woman to have a conversation with. This is where I took my 17 year old to have her gauges pierced & sized up. Procedure was private, clean and efficient. They were thorough in explaining her responsibilities for cleaning the piercing. I paid Sunshine a visit today to get both of my daiths pierced for migrane treatment. I had never been there before, but did research after a friends post on fb, and decided to give it a try. I was very impressed with how clean and sterile everyone is when handling everything. My daughter also came with me and after seeing Sunshine's personality and how knowledgeable she was, she decided to let her be the one to pierce her ears for the 4th and final time since Claire's and Wal-Mart do crappy jobs. All of the May 2015 reviews were made by an illegal tattooer and his friends, who are upset because SunShine turned him for tattooing out of his home with no license. He offered discounts on his tattoos for anyone who would go online and give her a bad review. The pictures posted are all stolen from the internet and not actual pictures from the shop. Iron/Ink is an all disposable very sanitary shop licensed by the state of North Carolina with a grade A health rating. They only use 316 LVM implant grade stainless steel for all piercings and G23 Titanium dermal anchors. The staff are all blood borne pathogen certified by the Alliance of Professional Tattooist. The first time I stopped in these people treated us like we were family. I had a nice piece done to cover up some old ink and you would have never known it. the piece Sunshine did is flawless I luv it. I have had 2 tattoos here both of them superb with extreme attention to detail one of them was by Sunshine (master tattoo artist) and the other by Cricket. Both of them were exactly what I wanted and they made sure of it before they started.
