Second time to the Phoenicia / Woodstock area with my girl & my pup, love the area. We by chance met a local while out & about, Tyler who mentioned he worked at Woodstock Tattoo Studio.  I'm always in the market, but it's was Tyler's sweet disposition & own ink that made it a done deal for us. We swung by the shop, where we were greeted by his fellow staff & set up an appointment with Tyler. We were only in town for a short while, but Tyler was super accommodating and fit me in!Needless to say, the level of artistry he provides, attention to detail & gentle nature, made the entire experience well worth it. My friend and I got taken fairly quickly for walking in. Take this as you will. I was pretty stoked at first. We both kept it small, simple, and black. The girl behind the counter had some good input but the artist talked me out of the placement I wanted. He also only showed me one font option after saying he'd draw up a couple...anyways so it was settled. My friend went first and it was quick. Then I go, even quicker. He wasn't that friendly and I felt I was annoying him being picky. Anyways, I had three words. He probably spent an hour total tattooing us both-and that's including set up. I asked to get 2 lines on my finger touched up with the black ink he had out, 20 dollars more. So I obviously declined. I have tattoos, I know a rip off. Which brings me to the cost. My friend's symbol was 140, my 16 letter sentence was 120! They have an 80 dollar minimum. I was expecting more of that price range. We're not tourists, but were distorted as such. Were locals. Unfortunately I'll never return. Lesson learned, don't be desperate, don't settle, and stick to your guns. There's way better places out there to have a much better experience. Read Less

Setting up an appointment was quick & easy. The shop was a cool and clean environment and the staff was very nice. Tyler happily listened to what we wanted and accommodated us perfectly. The artists who work here are very very talented and I would recommend anyone to come here, as they are in good hands. Litteraly just got my tattoo done by Tyler! OHMYGOODNESSSSS this is the first tattoo done by him and I couldn't be happier! My grin in shinning from ear to ear!! I am so thankful! We some how scrambled the time to come up to Woodstock right after Christmas and I wanted to make it special, so I made an appointment to get inked by the talented owner, felix. Our tattoo session was personable and quick and remotely painless. It honestly felt like getting a massage! Felix's bedside manner is very calming and professional and he makes sure you are comfortable as well. Our tattoos came out amazing - clean, Clean line work, and Felixs artistic sensibility really made our experience superb. Friendly and accommodating, Felix was great and it's a shame we don't live closer as I love his style. The shop is exceptionally clean and in a decent location.Shop minimum is $80 and it's well worth it. I've gotten four tattoos done by Felix over the past couple of years, and he continues to do excellent work. The shop is clean and neat, but still home-y and comfortable. absolutely loved this place! we immediately felt so welcomed when we arrived, Felix was super nice and patient with us as we tried to decide on our designs and was really helpful with placement ideas and tips etc. not only was the space very clean and organized but there's a beautiful view of the river out one side and mountains out the other. Felix is a great artist - not heavy handed at all like some can be. my gf and I both picked out simple rose outlines but he really brought them to life with flawless shading and intricate details. I did not catch the girls name who worked there but she was so sweet, she put together some really cute aftercare bags too with dr bronner's soap and burt's bees lotion which I definitely recommend for the extra $12. also: great music and the most adorable shop dog. will be going back for sure! I could not love this shop anymore!!  Between the location, the view, the bomb ass couple that run the place together and finally the INCREDIBLE talent that Felix has, this tattoo studio will become a part of the Woodstock community for years to come.  Felix has an amazing eye and skill for turning drawings into part of who you are.  The other half of the team, Raina, gave the space a super chill vibe that makes you feel like you could just chill out back all day.   Felix's neat, detailed and thought out body work is the reason to come to the Woodstock Tattoo Studio, but it's the energy and excitement that makes you want to stay all day.
