got seriously over quoted on the cost, im all for paying what artists deserve however did not take a liking to what the bill would have been. went to another shop got the price cut by two thirds, found a legit artist and got old work touched up for free. ive been inked here before but only by briga, was going to try another girl cause briga is no longer there. a little advise dont charge me almost four hours of work for a non color tat that will take 1 hr at most. it was basically like flash art what i requested. got my tat and even got it in color, never coming back you lost a customer that day. I came here on Friday the 13th (7/13/18) with friends to get a Friday the 13th tattoo from the flash sheet of specials. I chose a little firecracker who is SUPER adorable. Shannon was amazing and made me feel so comfortable, even when I got a little woozy - in which case Karla swooped in and had an ammonia wipe right under my nose and gave me water. I came here a few days ago to get my first tattoo. Shannon was amazing, walked me through everything step by step and aftercare; it was a comfortable experience. I came back a few days and later and Shannon added another small tattoo. I really liked the fact that she gave me her honest opinion instead of some places where they just don't care. I originally wanted something else but when she explained to me the positioning and how it would compliment my other tattoo, I realised that it may look good in a picture but may not be the right fit on you. I learned alot about things I didn't realise before going here and I'm very happy with the 2 tattoos I have! I came here last night to get my septum piercing done. The price was fair and the experience was great. The moment I paid, she had went to the room right away to get everything prepared. The process took only a minute as it should haved. I had this pricing done the first time in another place and it was uneven. She heard me out and make it perfectly even. I came here to get my rook and forward helix pierced and Karla was so amazing! She took her time to find the perfect length for my forward helix and was quick and clean when doing them! Got my first tattoo's done yesterday and they went amazing! Carmen helped me decide on the font and tattoo'd me thereafter. Honestly the best place to get a tattoo. I got my birthday in Roman numerals on 1 bicep and "family first" on the other. Took her an hour for both and made it perfect. It was love at first sight with this shop. I just got my cartilage piercings done by the sweetest piercer, Karla. I've been to other places before, and she's my favorite because she's very gentle and informative. I called them first to ask the price for a piercing ($25 per piercing depending on the placement), which is really reasonable compared to the ones in Manhattan.The place is super CLEAN, and it smells so nice as if I entered a spa. It's very welcoming, and Karla was accommodating. I love their gothic decor, and the jewelries they sell on display are beautiful. Karla was at the counter, and I think another woman was doing a tattoo at the back room. The piercing room looks very professional (and CLEAN) despite being small. There's a bed that you lie on to get your piercing done, which I love since I used to just sit on a chair to have it done before. There's a mirror so you can see where you want it done.The process was quick, but definitely not rushed because Karla made sure that I got exactly what I asked for, and she even helped me relax during the process. She then told me the aftercare instructions complete with a pamphlet (I bought their saline solution), and the great thing is that if something unusual is happening to my piercing (god forbids), she encouraged me to call them or go there directly to get a consultation. I came to Beaver Tattoo looking to get my first tattoo done. I asked for Natalia after seeing her work online. The whole environment of the shop was very relaxed and everyone was very friendly. I was super nervous but I felt calm after being there for a few minutes. I sent her a sketch prior to my appointment, which she said was helpful.  I really liked Natalia a lot. I got nervous again when Natalia was about to start but she reassured me it would be fine. She was super patient with me and remained positive even after I asked her for a few breaks. Ok So I'm not an expert at tattoos. But I wanted to get my wife's name tattooed on my wedding ring finger. I called Beaver about 1:30pm and asked I I could walk in about 5pm. They said that should be fine. I walked in about 4:30pm and was greeted as if I were a regular. I explained what I wanted and she said that Erica was finishing up another customer and would be with me shortly. After completing my paper work and choosing my design I was ready. I explained to Erica that this was my first and I was nervous. She was understanding and explained the process to me. And then she got to work. I was surprised at the lack of pain during the tattoo. I'll tell you- this shop had my guaranteed business before i even walked through the door. I called them to make an appointment to get one of the half price designs by Carmen. Made the appointment and put,down the deposit, no problem. Received an email the following day that they hadn't updated their website and the design I wanted had already been given to somebody else. But, since it was their goof, they agreed to help me tweak the design a little and give me the tattoo at the same price. At this point I was already thrilled. Cut to tattooing day. I show up early and then promptly realize I've left my ID at home. Sent my husband running home to get it and Carmen was totally cool about it. We wound up running only 5 minutes behind. She took me back to get tattooed (the tattooing takes place in a little alcove not directly visible from the lobby. Gives the place a cozy feel) and we got to work! She worked quickly but not carelessly, checked up on me periodically and I even sat in front of a mirror so i could watch her work (the tattoo is on my back). First off, let me start by saying I did a lot of research before I picked a place to get my piercing done. I really loved this location. It was small, clean and decorated really pretty. I called ahead, and was able to be seen right away. Carmen did both my nip piercings for me. She was really thorough in explaining the whole procedure to me, and kept me relaxed the whole time. I usually go to True Blue Tattoo but my artist hurt his hand and had to cancel. I had planned to get a tattoo on my arm, wrist and lower part of my hand. For me this was an issue because I box during the week and always wrap my hands and wrists for class which would destroy my tattoo while healing. I had a good 10 days I'd be out of town, so when my artist cancelled I was devastated. I wasn't going to get another 10 day break until the end of the year! I saw Beaver had good reviews and called to see if they could take me that same day. Luckily Carmen was willing to take me for this 4 1/2 hour session and stayed super late with me that day. Seriously, she was awesome! I am so appreciative Carmen and Beaver Tattoo would take me in for such a long piece on such short notice! You guys are rock stars!The tattoo came out beautiful, and Carmen was very open minded and helpful when adjusting my design to be tattoo friendly. It came out even better than I'd have hoped! To top it all off, they had probably one of the cleanest bathrooms I had ever seen in any tattoo parlor, and the ambiance, staff and owner were all VERY pleasant. Got my first tattoo done here back in June. Forgot to write a review for the place.So first of all, I arrived here hoping that they would open on time. They did not. They opened up about 45 mins later after they were supposed to open. I was a little annoyed by that, but whatever.Got inside, the atmosphere was cozy... For a tattoo shop, that is. Meaning, you're not supposed to feel completely comfortable. You're about to get a tattoo for goodness sake!Anyway, the women of Beaver are very chill. I was charged $115 for my tattoo, which was a little pricey, but my tattoo had a lot of detail to it. Plus, because it was so clean in here, it was worth it.I got my tattoo done by Lauren, who was pretty quick, and for the most part, didn't kill me with the needle.
