I have not been to the murdaink shop, but did get a tattoo ( 3D ) tattoo at a tattoo con by Rob, my experience was fantastic, as welll as the tattoo...I expected a great tattoo..what I walked out with was an AMAZING tattoo...totally MORE than I expected, and I am so happy with the end product. Rob is very professional, funny, and knows what he is doing, I will recommend him ( I'm sure all the artists from murdaink Do a  great job as well, but I can only talk about Rob, I only had experience with him), to anyone looking for a 3D TATTOO...as far as I understand , he is the only one that does this type of tattooing. 2013 - I have been here more than once, but after my last encounter I would never return.  The artist who tattooed me was Rob, and as someone else has mentioned his work is admirable; however, his professionalism is lacking.  The tattoo I got from Rob is one of the more expensive tattoos I have on my body and is easily my least favorite.  I would go so far as to say I'm actually ashamed to show people this particular tattoo.  The tattoo I got was to cover up a name, so usually there would need to be lots to lines to be able to hide a name.  I decided on flowers with colors to be able to hide the tattoo underneath.  The day I came in for my tattoo, Rob had sketched up something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (Nautical Stars) and said the reason is because the flowers would not be able to cover the name properly.  Obviously my ignorance is why I trusted him and went with his suggestion.  When the outline was done on our initial appointment, I was pretty happy.  It looked nice and had promise to be a dope tattoo.  On our second and last appointment, I kept saying to him "that's a lot of black" and he kept making it seem as though he wasn't done and to wait until the end.  Nope, this tattoo is just a big black blob on my arm, and I'm totally unsatisfied.  At this point I'm seriously considering having this tattoo removed, and starting over because with so much black it will be pretty difficult for any artist to cover it up.  I've been to this shop to have 3 tattoos (including this one ^) done.  Each time I've had a different artist, two of which were very unprofessional.  They have no problem smoking (marijuana) or drinking while tattooing - which is a big NO NO to me and should be to any consumer.  I'm honestly surprised their doors have stayed open this long, and I think their demise is inevitable. Steer clear.[Edit] One more thing: Rob never posted the work he put on me which is a clear sign that even he wouldn't want people to see the work he did. Also, throughout his social media you will notice he posts/caters to pretty much one skin type which is unfortunate, as the area is predominately a different skin type...yikes. Read Less

Love getting my tattoos here. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, and I absolutely love everyone who works here. Robs been doing my tattoos for about 3 years now. I wouldn't even think to try another shop. If you want to listen to music, or watch something specifically when getting tattooed, Rob will absolutely accommodate you. I'm sure the same goes for Pat and Ant. Pricing is beyond reasonable for the quality of work that the shop puts out. Sometimes they even have deals, like half off piercings or Friday the 13th $13 tattoos. All the employees are good with people and with work with you rather than to their own personal gain. I've been in other shops when the people I've dealt with have been rude and didn't really care what I the customer wanted. If your request is reasonable, these guys will make it happen. My experience at "Murda Ink" was one to remember. Do you want to talk about unprofessionalism? Well this is the place! Stepped on and cursed at pushed out by former artist "ROB" -While being tattooed he had a consultation with an interested client while I was half naked. -He had his EX girlfriend for the first hour of my tattoo, -then had a "NEW" girlfriend come in and watch me get tattooed. While being tattooed she continuously showed him what she found to be funny quotes from Instagram literally while the gun was on my body. This man is a disgusting individual, and the work that he plastered on my body looks like a piece of shit, he posts what seems to be such beautiful work. But in all reality this man is scum, and was not worth a second of my time. On my way out of the shop while I balled in tears he informed me, "If you have a fucking complaint, take that shit to the fucking bathroom." Read Less

Simply the best tattoo shop you can go to. Rob Pat and Ant are by far the most professional and honest tattooists who can make your vision come true. I went to Rob for all 11 of my tattoos. He's never satisfied until it's a breath taking one of a kind piece that we are both proud. Since completing a large portion of my body art my confidence has gone through the roof. I got my tragus piercing done here and I found the piercer/tattoo artist to have a good attitude and was pleasant to be with my mother even liked him. I fully intend to go back to get more piercings from him and eventually my tattoo. Read Less
