I went here for a jack-o-lantern tattoo the size of a quarter on my wrist. It was early evening & the artist made comments about having been working nonstop all day; I was his last client for the day. I told him multiple times that I was perfectly fine waiting for another artist & that I was concerned that my tattoo wouldn’t turn out well if he was tired. The artist kept assuring me that he was fine & that my tattoo was small & simple, so he would have no problem giving me exactly what I came for. A young woman drew up the tattoo & created the stencil & I was very happy with it. However, the tattoo that I received looks NOTHING at all like the stencil did. Its a frikn pumpkin but it just looks like a blob with weird lines on the inside. Its completely unrecognizable as a pumpkin & I’m pissed. I would have preferred to just wait for a different artist who wasn’t already tired & in a hurry to go home but this self-righteous jerk kept insisting that he was fine. Next time I’ll go to a tattoo shop where the artists are professionals & can keep their egos under control! Read Less

Service: the nice lady at the front counter was very helpful and there was timely service from the moment you walk in.Artist: the artist was not impatient as some artist can seem. He was willing to talk through ideas. A great deal of patrons just want help making their tattoo ideas come to life, this studio is great for that. Shane gave me an amazing full color, realistic Japanese Fighting Fish tattoo today, and it was the best tattoo experience I have had. He had a very light hand, was extremely professional, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Super awesome staff, great vibes, and had some good laughs. This whole place is legit. From the staff to the Husky toolboxes converted to workstations. Clean, respectfull, and well managed. I had the wonderfull experience of a 10.5 hour sitting for a Tap Out on Friday. Had never met any of them before. Opened up shop early to get me started early because I told them I won't Tap Out. Darrell designed and did a Polynesian Tribal from the top of my right soulder down to my wrist. Stenciling a few key componants, but freehanded atleast 60% of it on the fly from his own insperation, as he was inkin me. Giving me exactly what I was looking for. I definitely intend to hit them up regularly 'till I am covered, sometimes even just to check up and see how they are doing. Won't recommend anywheres else now, only this place. 6 out of 5 Stars. Sells tattoo equipment to under aged and inexperienced tattooers! This promotes disease and injury and no self respecting tattooer will respect their craft so little that they would cheapen it by allowing inexperienced people to purchase Chinese made cheap knock offs that they buy from eBay. Tattoos are mediocre at BEST. Most of these artists came from Black Pearl Tattoos... So the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Get tattooed here at your own risk! This place deserves 20 stars! Everyone (who is into tattoos) has *that one guy* and won't go anywhere else. For me, that guy is Mike at Underground Ink. So far I've only had him do 3 of my tattoos. One was a star on the back of my neck, the other 2 were much more elaborate cover ups and I FREQUENTLY get compliments.The first cover up is the most elaborate. I won't get into the story behind the tattoo underneath, but the cover up took about 5 years of planning and looking for somebody who could actually draw what I had in mind- the way I wanted it- without charging more than I could afford.The details were: a gypsy fairy with tattered butterfly wings and lilies in her hair, riding on a white tiger. Sounds simple, maybe, but what Mike drew was far better than I would have ever imagined. It looks simply amazing! More importantly, Underground Ink puts a lot of value into making sure their tattoos will look as good a year later as when you first walk out of the shop. They explain things that other tattoo artists rush through, such as the effect of the sun on your ink. The tattoos themselves look amazing because of the attention to detail given to specific things like ink color and shading.My second coverup is simply a rose vine wrapping around my arm. It has 3 roses, each with an initial for one of my kids. The vine itself has about 5 different shades of green, and black for shading, and is simply marvelous. No wonder I get so many compliments, and I tell everyone why the only place I will go to get a tattoo is at Underground Ink. Strongly recommend! Read Less
