Looking to get my second tattoo in 16 years. I was recommended this parlor so I showed up at 6 and the website said they were open until 8, yet they were leaving. Two of the three were friendly. The 3rd, which I wonder may have been the owner, seemed irritated to have me come in for questions/consultation (2 hrs before their closing time). Couldnt help but think...all those walk-ins they are losing out on but that's neither here or there. After they decided to give me a few minutes for a consult - I told them everything I wanted and the smug gentlemen explained how I should change one of the aspects I wanted and offered another suggestion instead because my vision was "wonky". I'm sorry, but there are MUCH better ways to explain yourself rather than dissing my vision (that I have wanted since 2011 when I divorced). I asked if I could see the design they came up with prior to booking to see and know if I liked it. May I remind you, this is only my second tattoo so I don't know the in's and out's of how things work. I just know I want to see a design before I book an appt. It didn't require the rude response I got.. "We don't have time for that, I'm literally going home right now to draw tattoos for tomorrows appts". They certainly won't be getting my business I don't care how "good" they are... not when they treat people that don't have 50 tattoos and do this all the time like they are stupid and their vision sucks. This is art going on MY body, I want to know what it looks like prior and approve it. Sorry I wasted my time here. O and FYI - notice they only respond to the negative comments. Michael & Corinne are amazing Artists, do very meticulous work, & were very sympathetic as I had just put my 2 year old service dog down to cancer. Michael did an AMAZING job of her actual paw print that I have already had many compliments on. Would highly recommend them. Read Less

Up until I had gone to Sirens, I had gone to 4 tattoo studios, all came highly recommended, great reviews etc. I left heartbroken 3 of the 4 times.  So, one night my sister and I were headed to another "highly recommended" studio. It took us 4 passes to FIND the place, and THEN we couldn't find a parking spot.  Ugh! So we looked up (googled) 4 other places in the area...but we could NOT find the first 2.  Sirens was also on our list so we headed there and found it with ZERO problems.  So the 2 hours we spent looking up directions to other places, making U-Turns, missing street signs, getting lost, cutting people off & looking for parking, was NOT the complete pain in the ass it seemed... It was DIVINE INTERVENTION! It lead us RIGHT to Sirens!!  We told them what we wanted, made our appointments, went back for our tattoos and Mike @ Sirens did a phenomenal job!   I've had to have 2 cover-ups by other studios because one would be worse than the last.  Mike took one look at what was ahead of him and incorporated everything I asked for in one perfect sketch!  My sister had gone in with her own drawings, and left with an almost ALIVE version of what she asked for on her arm.  When she was done, I rattled off a few ideas that I wanted that night (my cover appt is in a few weeks) and he brought it to life for me.  We are both amazed & thrilled with our tattoos! Everyone asks where we got our tattoos, who did them, how we found them.  Sirens - Mike - best tattoo EVER - my sister's backasswards navigation skills ( which I will never judge again ) We already have ideas for our next 3 tattoos with Mike. Best tattoo experience I've had yet! First off the shop is very clean and everyone who works there are very friendly. I've only gotten tattooed by Penny, which does amazing work and is very personable, however I've seen Corrine and Michaels work also and they all do excellent work! So inexplicably happy with every experience I have at Siren. I have had 5 pieces done there, one of which was a large cover up over a much smaller piece. I get CONSTANT compliments on my tattoos and everyone asks where I go. I've sent 5 or 6 people over to Siren and every one of them has left with a piece that they love. Corinne, Michael and Penny are some of the most hilarious and down to earth people you'll ever meet, which makes the experience so much better. We must have came in on THE WRONG day or something because unfortunatly, WE DID NOT have a good experience like everyone else :( I'm probably the most laid back easy going honest non judgmental person you might come across now a days. I'm all about giving the utmost respect & congrats to the small biz owners now a days but, I have NEVER felt SO unwelcomed in a place(new at that!) as we did at Sirens! So much so, that we turned around after 20 of being in the shop & WALKED OUT! We walked in, no acknowledgment that a customer came through that door for a good 3 mins, maybe 5. There were abt 6 people in that shop along w/ customers they were working on. The unprofessional man that came to the desk was SO unfriendly I can't even begin to explain ( I found myself almost in a bicker with him as he answered my question in a rude, sharp tone like- Oh my god are you that dumb?!) The shop was aware we were new tattooers & was uncertain where to put them. you think we would of had a convo that went something like: Well, I wouldn't suggest here cause of this, or how abt this area of your body? Nope, nothing.. When we asked if we could look at books, we were showed by the unprofessional receptionists nod of the head, "they're over there on the table". No comments like if you see someone's work your interested in or have ANY questions feel free to ask, NOTHING WARM & WELCOME! From the moment we walked in, no one at desk, no one said hi/introduced themselves/welcomed us to siren/no offer in help as to where to place the tats/no help in photos of the books or offered ANY HELP WHAT SO EVER! I'm sorry I'm giving such a bad review but it's the Gods honest truth! So my friend & I discussed how the vibe was so not good & I couldn't wait to walk out of there, she agreed & so we did! We went to Angry Banana where when we walked in it was a "normal" feel/welcome etc. We weren't looking for someone to come wipe our as*s but come on people, really?! I don't think I have EVER been as PLEASED with an establishment in my ENTIRE LIFE! Tattoo's are a HUGE decision making process, and I can't even begin to explain how many directions one can be pulled in! I'd had a few tattoos already---but the work was at best--- sub par...I was looking for an ARTIST this time around. After having a few sketches drawn up by local shops, I began to think there was no hope....That was until a friend of mine mentioned CORINNE @ SIREN STUDIOS! She said her work was amazing and to check her out! I hit her facebook page and took a peek...SHEER PERFECTION! Portraits/Custom EVERYTHING! I HAD to meet her and see what she was about! Upon entry...The vibe was great! Everyone was friendly! You get an immediate sense of belonging! I shook hands with everyone while we exchanged smiles and jokes...then down to business! Corinne reviewed my picture I was looking to have tattooed and without a bat of an eye she agreed, said it would be no problem and booked my appointment! Long story short....Just because of her AMAZING work... I IMMEDIATLEY REBOOKED ANOTHER APPOINTMENT! Was I expecting that I'd want another tattoo so soon? NO...Was I thinking that I'd want to EVEN HAVE another tattoo AT ALL?? NO! Her talent is unmatched! I felt the need to sieze the moment! I hope she stays right here in Syracuse...but I SO have the feeling she's going to blow up BIG TIME!
