I totally recommend this place! My sister and I went as walk-ins; they took us in right away and totally understood what we wanted, and got quick to work. Max did mine and Eddie my sisters. Max was super patient with me in getting my placement just right. She made sure I was happy with the placement. And she was very well knowledged. It came out amazing! It was my sister's first time and Eddie made her feel so comfortable (she did two!). Both were very kind and just awesome to talk to. My sister's pieces came out very beautiful, I was very nervous about her getting it but not with Eddie he did amazing. After I was done I was complaining about a recent tattoo I got at another place and how I needed to get it touched up and Max was so nice she took the time to touch it up for me. I definitely recommend going to this place just to be around those two let alone for the amazing work they do. If you want a great experience and a chilled out session this is the place to be. First and only tattoo studio I've been to, so I don't have anything to compare this place to, but I love it here and don't see myself going anywhere else in nyc. The people are great. Very friendly, welcoming, and entertaining to say the least. The three tattoos I've gotten here have all been done by Eddie, and he's awesome. I've seen work done by the other artists (Max and Dee) while getting mine, and they all have come out amazingly. Eddie works fast but doesn't rush, and ...everything I've gotten by him has come out great. Minimal to no scabbing, no patchiness, clean lines and amazingly good with colors. I can't emphasize how happy I am with his most recent piece on me (photo-realistic bird on chest). Talks you through with what he's doing and makes sure you're comfortable throughout the process. Very clean, relaxing and just generally nice atmosphere. They take cleanliness seriously, and it shows. Plenty of knick knacks, drawings, etc. on the walls to keep your eyes busy while you wait. Oh, and there's a cactus. Like I said, this is the only studio I've been to so I can't talk about how their prices compare, but I have always felt like I've gotten a good deal for the quality of work done. Eddie is amazing. He creates beautiful tattoos...whether you know what you want or have no idea of what you want. Share your thoughts and he creates something amazing for you. He is patient and takes his art seriously. Being an artist and a former art teacher is an added plus. He also has great bed side manner.
