I never made a review before but felt like there needs to be some sort of justice for what happened. While getting a tattoo from this place they ask you to kindly wait while they set up "their tools and instruments". For those new to getting tats, Artists usually have no problem setting up in front of you. In fact they prefer to in order to show you that they are clean and all their needles are new and sterile. Anyway long story short, The tat was crap and worst of all I got an infection and had to go to the ER. People say don't judge a book by its cover. Well kids, if you want to stay out of the hospital; what you see is what you get. Read Less

My Father and I practically spent an entire day there. It was a perfect experience to get close with my tattoo artist Corey and my father. Our tattoos came out perfect. The tattoo I got really looks like its about to jump  out of my skin. The tattoo my father got creatively displays the pain he has gone through in his life and has excellent detail. They both are great pieces of art and I would highly recommend anyone to go and get a tattoo here. Considering this was my first tattoo I couldn't be any happier! Read Less

Larry has been around for years and has done some great work.  He isn't Mr. Rogers, but if you're looking for a nice place with spot on precision when it comes to body art. That's the place.  If you're looking to make friends however..  You may get your feelings hurt.  I specifically appreciate the banter back and forth and the rationale behind challenging a decision or idea on a tattoo because if you don't look good, they don't look good... For instance the location I was considering would have worn significantly faster because of the skin and friction.   If he kept his mouth shut I would definitely be an unhappy camper down the line.Isaiah was actually my artist this time around.  He was sweet, friendly, and experienced.  I'd definitely continue recommend the place. it is a shame that in all the years i have been getting tattooed there still exists in many a tattoo parlor that old bull-shit arrogance. i have been inked up by some of the original and best tattoo artists in the world. ironically, one of these artists was shotsie gorman who tattooed me 21 years ago, which is half my life. he and i got along perfectly. i believe his confidence enabled him to be humble and fun to talk to. my experience is that the less talented seem to carry the biggest egos, which i now see as a defense mechanism used to cover up their feelings of inadequacy in a competitive world. bottom line, i will not mention names, though i should. however, i will say that if you are looking for an original tattoo without unnecessary attitude, one might want to visit any number of tattoo artists in the tri-state area. a good example of one of these artists, and i use him because i have been to him, is elio located in williamsburg, brooklyn. parking is easy. his work is excellent. and the absence of attitude is refreshing. i believe his shop is called flyrite but i might be wrong. in other words, you can easily do better than explicit where small time egos will surely interfere with what should be a really cool experience. a good artist should keep his mouth shut if what he has to say is negative. people get beat up on the regular for being dicks. but pussies always know they can call the cops when things get rough hence their false sense of security when mouthing off to the wrong mutha-fucka or punking out when failing to return a call when an apology is expected. if you look up a tattoo artist and you can't find an image of any work he has done, trust me, it's not privacy or exclusivity behind his lack of public attention. it is, quite simply, a lack of notoriety due to an inability to swim with the big fish. if you have to put up with attitude, and i am not saying these guys have attitude, but if they did i could stomach it as they are amongst the best, try guy aitchison, eddie deutsh, aaron cain, paul booth, filip leu, etc. these guys are the real deal. The arrogance this guy has while he can only mimic other artists and bad mouth them at the same time, does however take exceptional skill....especially when Larry has a little place in Suffern, NY.
