Basing my rating on two visits to Tattoo Mania. Both for piercings. The first time I visited, I actually didn't leave with a piercing due to Sami's honesty. I had went for a belly button piercing, and when she checked my belly, she was honest enough to tell me that she wouldn't recommend that I do it, due to a high risk of it rejecting and ripping through, due to a lack of a lot of skin. Anyone who was money hungry would have just done it without informing me. Second time I visited was today and I had my rook piercing done. I originally came in for both rook and cartilage, but she recommended I wait and do them separately. Anyways, I ended up going with just the rook for today and she was amazing. She walked me through the entire process step by step and always let me know what she was doing before she did it. I felt really comfortable the entire process. I look forward to coming back to the shop for more piercings and hopefully for my next tattoo. :) Everyone in the shop was really nice, I would like to add on top of that. Read Less

Brought my 3 teenage girls here this weekend for piercings.The young lady who was doing the piercings was excellent, professional and extremely nice. The owner and the rest of his workers were just a-holes.All they did was sit there and curse like animals. I know the kids know all the words but act professional. Needless to say I will never go back.FYI took my girls for their first tattoo's, your place wasn't even mentioned.Going for more piercings, soon, it won't be your place. Read Less

Love this place! Nick did my tattoo and I absolutely love it!! He helped me figure out how the color should be and he made me feel 100% comfortable. So yesterday I walked in curious about a tattoo. Was a spontaneous venture for my mothers birthday (we did it together). I was immediately greeted which awesome. Jack sat with me and drew up a few ideas. The patience this guy has is incredible since I was probably a pain in the a**. Have to say, upon chatting with him he's very knowledgeable about the art of tattooing and definitely has his work in order. Jay is the best tattoo artist I have ever known! Miami ink has competition. He has only the most talented tattoo artists working there. I've been going to Tattoo Mania for the last few years and really like it there. The prices are good and their work is great. The shop is clean and the staff will make you laugh while you're there. My fiance has got a bunch of tattoos from their shop and I have 2 from Jay (lily on lower back and Jessica Rabbit on my thigh). Read Less

I went here a few years ago to get my industrial done. First thing I liked about them is that they warned me that it might not fit very well on my ear instead of just trying to make money and leave you unhappy. I wasn't too happy with the placement and I felt like they could have done a better job of figuring it out, but they at least warned me. They were very welcoming, funny, and prepared (for example, they had items to clip my hair up away from my ear). I plan on going back to do my hip dermals. I'd definitely recommend the place, especially for people doing first-time tats or piercings. They won't make you feel silly and the prices are some of the best around. Read Less

I walked in with a friend to redo and add to a tat i already have, after trying to explain it in the short chance i had, my friend that bought me there said shut up and follow him. after 7 was done doing his magic, he had me look in the mirror and see if i like what he drew on my back. i have never been happier. they are awesome, talented and more then skilled artist! i recommend this tattoo parlor to everyone who wants one. i will be returning to get more. I like jay, but seven and the other people are terrible. Sevens tattoos are fine (nothing great) but he has an attitude problem like no other. Getting something as permanent as a tattoo deserves a great deal of your time. First there is the decision of what exactly it is you want to get tatoo'd? Second is where do you want to get tatoo'd? Third is the ominous "Can I live with this for the rest of my life?" question and Finally there is Where to go?The first three are all questions that your friends will try and answer for you, but the bottom line is that you need to make the final decision yourself. The fourth is, unless you have some ink already, up in the air. So many choices and concerns. Tatoo Mania for me has answered them all very positively on a consistant basis. It is clean and though may give off a very intimidating vibe with the horror movie posters and figurines that adorn the establishment, you'll very shortly find out the opposite... probably when you see the cartoons that everyone is watching and quoting. I have gone to Tattoo Mania for all of my work (7 and counting) and have always been met with a pleaurable experience and left sore (inevitably) but extremely pleased. The staff is very easy to speak to and will help you transform a basic idea in to a great piece that will leave you stunned in the end. I hate to play favorites, but I always come back to 7. His work is great and he is a pleasure to speak with during the job. Likewise my best friend has gotten all his work done by "6" (his brother) and my other best friend by Jay. All of whom were extremely pleased with the work of their respective artists.So once you've got the first three questions figured out yourself, hopefully you'll take this review into consideration for the fourth so you won't regret the decisions of the first three.
