She spent as much time needed to bring my idea to fruition and I can not be happier. This is a rare thing, a shop co-owned by 2 females which is great for those of us who want to support our local Women-Owned Businesses. Excellent Service and excellent shop! I normally do not write reviews, but i had such a great experience here I just have to... I needed a cover up done from a old tattoo on my upper back that is noticeable all the time, and so when I went in and spoke to Liz , the shop owner, right from the beginning she was so nice and helpful and had so many great ideas of what to do with it, I went from a ugly bow n arrow from a Sagittarius sign with flames, to a beautiful big rose with two birds, Liz did such a wonderful job that you cannot see any of the artwork from before, it looks brand new and I love it! Excellent shop with great artists. I had two full sleeves done by magie. All the artists are amazing and truly care about their craft. I was there the other day and met the piercer Tony. While I do not have a piercing, I watched him do a septum on a dude and he was so meticulous. The shop has a great vibe! I'd highly recommend anyone to go to this place. I got a vertical lip piercing done here by this guy named Tony. Basically it was not lined up so the top part of it fell more to the right- it was noticable, looked silly. I waited for swelling to go down before asking for a refund just in case it was the swelling that made it look crooked, but it wasn't. So I went in and told Tony. He said it wasn't crooked repeatedly, then said it was my anatomy LOL then said he doesn't give refunds. This guy was even tipped 10$! I then removed my crooked piercing,  asked to talk to the owner Liz. She said she'd give me store credit for a tattoo due to Tonys messed up piercing, never got the store credit and a whole lot of craziness went on. Got a wonderful tattoo from Magie. She drew out an amazing custom design with exactly what I had in mind. It is one of my most favorite tattoos to this day. Milk and honey is the only place to get a tattoo if you live on Staten Island or close by. The studio itself is very inviting and friendly. The staff is great. I have three tattoos so far and all were done by the amazing Maggie Serpica. Her line work is impeccable as well as her coloring and shading. She is very attentive to you during the whole process to make sure you are feeling okay and very easy to talk to during the whole tattooing process as well. We also spoke on the phone and texted about my ideas for the tattoo prior to the appointment, making me feel super comfortable and part of the creative process.  Once there Liz was very attentive and made me very involved.  The place is clean and neat. All my suggestions were welcome and incorporated to the final tattoo which, by the way, rocks!  I could not be happier!  I love it!!! Thank you Liz. I have never been here before but i called to inquire about getting my daughter an industrial bar piercing being that she is only 14.  Every other place i called basically just said no very rudely and hung up.  The gentlemen who answered the phone here was so polite and took the time to explain to me why they would not do it.  He was very helpful and even offered suggestions about other places that may offer it at her age outside of new york.  If all the employees there are as nice as he is then it must be an amazing place! Awful experience! I went to Liz Manzolini one of the owners asking her to draw out my tattoo of an old world map, which I wanted to place above my elbow. She was automatically discouraged and not willing to compromise, she was rude, degrading and ran her business very poorly. She said my tattoo idea was impossible, but truth is she just was not talented enought to draw it out. Went in this past weekend to get an old world map tattood above my elbow, for starters the shop opened 20 minutes late, then turns out the artist who's portofolio I checked out wasn't even there for the day, when I had been told the day prior by Liz Manzolini that he would be there. 2 indications of a poorly ran business. Given that Liz was the only artist there I asked her to draw out my tattoo, right from the getgo she was discouraged she wouldnt even attempt to compromise our ideas for the drawing. She was very rude through out the entire interaction, and said that my tatto idea is impossible. She even took the time out to draw a crappy version of what I wanted to attempt and demean my idea. When she said it was impossible she really meant "I am not talented enough to do this for you". I ended up going to Ron & Daves where "the impossible" happened and my tattoo is beautiful. i've followed Magie Serpica around Staten Island for the last couple of years because she is an amazing tattoo artist - definitely the best that I know of on Staten Island. She is incredibly friendly and willing to do whatever the client wants. She is able to do all styles of tattoo work, something that most artists on Staten Island are not good at. Now that she has opened her own shop, I can guarantee this will be the only place I go to get tattooed, and to refer friends to. Milk & Honey is the most pleasant tattoo shop I've been too in a while, painted a happy bright blue, a calming tattoo experience with fun music and fun people.
