Jinx was amazing and a very lovely person to speak to. The place is comfortable and feels welcoming, as I've never been at a tattoo place before nor had gotten a tattoo. Prices are definitely reasonable with quality ink, with myself having sensitive skin I had no issues with what was used. Avoid at all costs! See attached pictures for what I wanted vs. what I got. Spoke with the owner who said he would fix the tattoo. He then tried to push me off to a different artist at the shop. Trying to get an answer regarding when I could come in to get it fixed was like pulling teeth. The effort wasn't worth the risk so I paid to get the tattoo fixed somewhere else. I can't be certain but I'm almost positive my artist was either drunk or high on something. Wish I could remember his name. (The NYHC bottom piece was added by the Masterpiece employee because we were talking music and he said he would add it for free. Went in to purchase a basic nose ring. The selection was small but fit my need. There was an artist tattooing a cursing vato. The artist was very talented and focuses on his work. The guy who helped me pick a replacement nose ring was very nice, an older gentleman covered in tattoos with blue eyes. He even helped me put the nose ring in! The place was clean and sterile. I've been dancing around the idea of a tattoo of an alex Ross painting but haven't got the nerve to do it yet. But if I do, I would trust this place to do it. Read Less

Very nice staff but I got my midway pierced about a month ago. The earring is way too tight and have been told from many professionals its not the correct jewelry to pierce an ear with. I now have an infection and bump something similar to a keloid. I do not recommend for an ear piercing. Read Less

I was referred to mike by someone who's opinion on tattoos I value highly. I went in extremely nervous, this being my first tattoo in 11 years. I went in, told them what I wanted. Rabbit drew up the lettering I wanted, then me him and mike discussed alterations to it, all of them improvements. It being a chest tattoo, to say the experience was unpleasant is putting it mildly, but Mike was extremely patient with me, as I do not have the pain tolerance I thought I had, and all the other artists there encouraged me and were rooting me on. The entire staff helped me to relax and made me feel very comfortable and confident in my decision to go there and would definitely recommend this place to others. A very satisfied customer. Bad experience, this place is not the optimal choice. Everyone there was cool except my artist Jessica. She may seem nice until you realize she's a vulgar person. We had 2 appointments for my tattoo I gave her half of the money & she raised the price for the other half so my mother got involved & there was almost a fight with her. Don't go here, especially if you're a first timer. If you value customer service, you will hate it here. If you have thick skin, a lot of patience, and you can deal with condescending vibes, you should be fine.Before I go off, I'll say that our piercer did stop what she was doing (a tattoo) to attend to my wife and that was very admirable. Anyway...My wife wanted to get a piercing and this spot was still open after 8 so we figured we'd give it a shot.There was a bit of a confrontation with the 2 female artists about putting the close sign up, but I'm not basing this off of that. It happens.At first everything seemed fine, we filled out the consent form and waited a few minutes and then followed our "piercer" into a room upstairs. The piercing was a bit high too. 65 after tax, but we were committed. My wife admitted she was a bit nervous, and our piercer (Chrystal) started rambling on about how she can't deal with drama queens and was forcefully persuading my wife to make a decision as if her mind wasn't made up already. So if you're nervous its best to keep it to yourself. However, after her rant, she did slightly reassure my wife saying she won't just stab her ear. After that, I took out my phone to record my wife's reaction so we can joke about it later, but apparently that's not allowed either. She asked me to please stop recording her, and I replied saying "I'm just recording my wife's face". She then asked me again, this time raising her voice and talking to me with a condescending tone. I must admit I was a bit angry, but I put my phone away since this wasn't about me, it was for my wife. The piercing itself went smooth, but her attitude was just extremely bipolar!But it's a tattoo parlor. I've gotten tattoos, and I understand the artists aren't all saints but in my experiences, I've never felt the need to just walk out of the store until I came here. Maybe she was having a bad day but there's no need to take it out on us. And despite all that my wife still tipped her (probably out of fear)...Just kidding. -1 star for the price, -4 stars for the attitude. +2 stars for getting us in and out.If you do end up going here, try to avoid her, or at least know what you want and don't show any emotion. Mike Pastore is amazing. He is an amazing artist and an extremely nice person. I went into his shop with an awful tattoo that I was extremely upset about. He eased my concerns and assured me he would make it look great. He did everything freehand and the finished product was so much better than anything I ever dreamed of.
